Burnley are building a squad to be able to go straight back up in 15/16 season. They have not signed one player who will make even a dent in the Premiership.
I hope their fans enjoy their season of being battered each week.

Time to move on. We can't attract players of this quality.

Don't be silly. He played for us for a year and would have signed if a Premier League team hadn't come calling. Would have been nice as he was a decent player for us but we move on.

I was actually surprised Sami wanted him as I would of thought we would of needed a LB with more pace with a decent cross aka Bridge when he was here.

Not the real one
Ever since we 'hit the ceiling', we've been falling to the floor. Others might be able to justify the club in their transfer dealings over the last 14months but there is a pattern forming. One that says BHAFC are not prepared to spend and get outbid by Bournemouth (Grabban) and Blackburn (Conway). Have we beaten another club to any player in the last 14 months?
Anyone can mention it's the agents fault but when an agent gets involved, why is the outcome never favourable to us?

A blessing in disguise.

Sami's system require's fast, attacking full backs that are capable of putting quality balls into the box.

Ward was very solid last season but he is none of the above.

Move on.

Oh well, I liked Ward and he did score some important goals. Will be difficult to get someone as experienced and reliable who chips in with goals IMO.

Ward would have been one of the first names on our team sheet.
He is very capable in the Championship. However without let up a left back in the EPL is going to face the likes of Walcott, Stirling, Hazard, Navas, Lennon, etc. Ward would get turned inside out.

Gutted about this but we F**ked about so long on this one who can blame him. By all accounts Wolves got £500,000k for him when we were quibbling over £100,000 and the player himself has suddenly got a 3 year contract and a weekly salary supposedly double what he had at Wolves.
