And people, like myself, will turn away from football for those prices. I have far more important things to spend that amount of cash on than 90 minutes of football.

Try as hard as I might, I really can't imagine there are many people like you.

Ohhhh, cutting ! Especially as you don't know who I am. The "Are you going the renew your season ticket" thread paints an interesting picture though but I bet you think of many of those people as not being true supporters.

The club will hope that you're right, but I'm with Westdene on this one. £50 is too much for a lot of folk, I'm sure (especially when you don't just buy the one each time).

How much are the away tickets? Might have something to do with Leicester not selling out.

£32, but nothing on their website explaining about the travel options, just an afterthought mention that the bridge car park is £15.

Isnt this ticket master or whoever that new ticket company we use ?

Whats the crowd tomorrow then King Cole as things stand ?

As for Leicester not selling out , piss for for a club that thinks of themselves as top 10 in the country

As things stand and assuming Leicester do sell their allocation of 1677 (likely between now and kick off), we are currently left with 2 empty blocks in the south (1300) plus oversized segregation of about 800.

Can we assume half of 'the ledge' will be filled with kids, so another couple of hundred empties here and currently another 100 or so randoms available.

Is our capacity 31500? If so, we are on about 29,000 right now (declared - less will attend)

Maybe Leicester will surprise us and sell a few more (we can give them another block in the south and still have S1F for ourselves) and maybe the hut at the station will sell a load.

Either way, it should be the biggest gate of the season.

Reasons for Leicester being slow to sell their allocation are apparently price and distance (we are one of their furthest). Crazy as I look at Leicester as a fairly local away game!

Yet according to Barber, the practise of holding back the (so called) cheaper seats doesn't happen!

Careful, you'll get the board shut down.

How does our meshed-out segregation compare with other clubs? I've never really paid any attention to others, is ours a larger area than others, or are all clubs segregations oversized?

I am pretty sure we still have to have a larger segregration as a new ground. I think at the end of this season the rules relax and the segregation should be down to whatever the club/police want.

Quite an expensive day then really once you factor in cost of travel.

I always think that too much is made of the cost of the tickets for away matches. In the grand scheme of things, an away match is an expensive outing anyway. £10 either way on the cost of the ticket won't make or break it, surely?

Indeed - £32 is not a price I would ever pay to go to a match at the Amex - stupidly overpriced.

What level of football, matches your desired outlay?

Of course £32 is too expensive.
Naturally I'd love to pay £10-£15.

But as I want to watch Brighton play, I have to pay the going rate for the division Brighton are in.

£32 for an away game - a second in a row for Leicester - that is one of their furthest of the season 17 days before Christmas.

Can see why they might struggle to sell it out

Back in Sussex
On my way from Somerset to Sussex this afternoon I heard an advert for West Ham v Sunderland.

The prices were FROM £24 for kids and £42 for adults, plus a £2 booking fee.

Key words there are: West Ham, Sunderland and from. Crazy.
