Considering the league structure where Inigio came from in Spain I expect that his move to Brighton resulted in a considerable increase in wages. I've been to several Segunda B games in Spain this year (Alicante, Sporting Mahones, Barca "B" and Alcoyano) and have to admit the crowds in this league aren't that big to support many professional players, let alone ones who are allegedly on £5k a week.
The league standard is interesting down there, a lot of Calderon style flair, with not much hoof-ball, but the end finishing isn't up to scratch.
