Vodafone are shocking... Leave them...

You don't get any better deal for being a customer. The offer they offered me was the same as any new customer would get.

I just cancelled...

Ring them up & tell them your leaving. Dont except the first offer, youve got to play hard. Works every time for me. This time last year managed to get my daughter a iphone 4 free 900mins unlimited text and 1g net all for £30 a month even though she had 7 months left on her contract.

This. Fight tooth and nail. Ignore the drivel fed to you by their customer service spics. Tell them your leaving and eventually a Northern Irish person will ring you with a much better deal. Make sure you get it in writing as well.

For the record - they are the worst company in history. If your not tied in already, look elswhere.

If you know anyone who works for the NHS they can get you 20% off line rental with Vodafone. Offer available to NHS employee and 5 friends and family.
Takes a £47 a month contract to £37.60 saving £225 over the 24 months.

Exactly... Shocking customer service. Tried to charge me £45 to get a PAC code and then i refused to pay... Phoned up a again and spoke to someone else who said its a free process??

I don't know if they can do good deals with the new iphone5 though...

Just leave them... You can get unlimited data with t-mobile for the same cost...

I played hardball and got a good deal on my iPhone 5. Same contract as with my 4, free handset, free starter kit nonsense (in car charger, protective case etc).

I probably could have done this... However had enough of them and willing to lose a few perks just to be rid of them...

Fair enough. I think all the main 4 - Vodafone, Orange, T Mobile and O2 are all much of a muchness. 3 are below them as their coverage is often laughably shit.

I'm with 3 and found their coverage to be no worse than any of the others these days, in fact it's the only network that picks up a signal in my office without having to stand next to the window. I guess it all depends where you go but I wouldn't be put off 3 due to the signal.
