I, for one, am getting pretty excited about this signing, for so many reasons:

Flair name
Flair hair - the mullet is back
Slightly mysterious "can play anywhere as long as it's on the left" tag
Good, clean-cut Slavic look about the boy - I don't actually know whether Latvians are actually Slavs but it's not hard to imagine him dressed in a large, Lenin-at-the-Finland-Station-style overcoat and oversized cap, about to drive a steam train with a red star on the front of the engine. Awesome.

A dream signing on Football Manager

We have a player with a mullet in the squad now.

I don't care where he plays, that alone is worth the fee. As is the awaited attempt from Aspinall to pronounce his name as he makes his debut.

This may be a stupid question but I'll take the risk: is he playing tomorrow?

The most positive thing about this is he's young and has a future, get him working with Bridge and a bit of experience in the team. I was extremely worried about us only signing 29+ year olds in the Summer and potentially losing all our decent young players, we have gone a long way in reversing that over the last 24 hours. Very pleasing to see.
