Initially he played in the reserves not making his debut until 27 March 1976 against Hereford United.
Peter Ward was his name.

Over two years since you posted this and still this Ward bloke isn't in the first team. Bamber out!

I think he has played around 7 games for the team he went out on loan to, who I believe play in the Dutch second division.

I have only seen him play once, so can't make a real personal opinion, but I'd plump for no he couldn't do a job.
