Mullins was stupid, he managed to get both of them sent off. Virgo would have got a yellow for what was a pretty bad tackle, but 'cos he attacked Virgs it was obvious that once Virgo had gone that Mullins would definitely go. You can't blame the ref in this instance, but having seen the replay on SSN it's clear that Virgo wasn't trying to fight the Palace reject.

That was after Mullins attacked him. Virgs pushed him away and Mullins still came at him so Virgs defended himself before the rest of the players dived in.

I hope the FA look at the video and rescind the red card.

A yellow card only for the original tackle.

From what was said on the radio, we might get the red card rescinded. I've heard three people say all he did was to fend off Mullins. It depends on the ref though I suppose.
reckon it would of been different had it been at the withdean

The tackle was disgraceful by Adam he derserved that red card. Then what happened afterwards with Mullins throwing a right hook at adam i am glad the red sent him off. :D

Give credit to claridge who seen quite alot of tussles in his time and gets involved calmed the whole thing down. :clap2:

Just seen it again, tad harsh on Virgs, but to be honest if I was the ref in that situation I would have done the same

I thought it was just Worst Ham that had a player sent off at the time.

I think excitement blurs my vision because i missed the scrap to the right, the player punch-up and i thought Claridge scored.

he made a bad tackle, but was no worse than Don hutchinsons who got booked (may have been another player) and then mullins (a palace reject?) then reacted and about 4 west ham players charged and he put his hands up to protect himself from being trampled over!
