You are obviously very young and not supported the club through many chairmen. I would place Bamber and Stringer above him.

Thank you for that sir, I wish. Just about remember Bamber, but he had a ground when he took over unlike Knight who had nothing but a club playing in the bottom division 140 mile round trip away. DK with others worked his socks off to save the club but Bamber delivered the glory years, so yp that is an interesting debate. Stringe, no sorry maybe too young for him

I also thinkKnight just edges it from Bamber but two great guys.

Bamber had the ambition & vision to go large with players & managers and we had the Glory years.

Knight never claimed to have much money, certainly nothing like Stanley & Archer had. Knight had nothing, not even a ground, and has had to fight so many off field battles just to try and keep a team turning out.

That was a massive task alone but to win 3 promotions and take us to the Championship is pretty miraculous and something we should never forget.
