It was home fans on the buses parked on the road. I also fail to see my those that park in the Virgin Gym car park believe they are above those supporters that don't use their own vehicles, and should be allowed out first.

Wtf are you talking about? People have never thought they should be let out first, however to,end up practically the last away is somewhat frustrating, but don't let that spoil your argument.

This was part of the first communication I had regarding the fixture (and cover some points people have discussed above. Things may have moved on since this was sent to me:

"We would like to replicate what we had in place for the play off semi-final. This included a hold back of Palace fans, Asking West Stand fans to turn right out of the stadium to facilitate the hold back, special train to assist Palace fans direct passage back to East Croydon. These are some things that worked previously, but we want feedback and ideas from both sets of supporters."

Making us turn right and walk clockwise round the stadium to get to the P&R queues was a right ball-ache previously and still resulted in us walking against a tide of Palace fans on the east side of the ground as they made their way to the station ! Surely if this approach is necessary then this should be in reverse and people asked to turn left and walk anti-clockwise so that everyone is walking away from the Palace fans heading to the station. I do think it is a very poor decision making this an evening game as it doesn’t allow the club to keep the Palace fans locked in for 30-45 mins after the game as that is exactly what they do to us at Smellhurst !

I think, in keeping with our games at Selhurst, they should be marched back en masse to Brighton station - preferably via Falmer Road and through Woodingdean. Then herded on to one tiny train so tightly that they can't even lift their arms all the way back to East Croydon, whether or not that's where they want to go.

I suggest they don't walk their fans down Queen's Road/West Street to a pub, and then walk them back again to the station.

There are some really thick people around and top of the tree is the buffoon who thought that would be a good idea.

Keep their fans in at the end.

In short keep them away from us, and us away from them.

Seeing as we are for some unknown reason not giving them the full allocation what will happen to the 1k extra seats ? will these be given to home fans or left sterile , also if they are just left empty would this also be the case at Selhurst , because i bet you a quid when the return leg happens they will use the extra seats for home fans whatever we decide to do with them .

Put them as far into the corner as possible. Keep them in at least half an hour after the match. Treat them like animals because they are animals. The stick them on a train to Newhaven and show them the ferry.

I don't want that lot anywhere near Newhaven, may I suggest Portsmouth

Once again we host the home game first. Just like Villa last season when we thought that giving them all those tickets they may return the favour, did they heck. I'm fed up of going to away games and being treated like a hooligan. Coaches parked miles away from the ground, heavy handed security (yes I accept the search, but not too heavy) and concourses with no beer. We need to get tough and start retaliating.
The question to ask is will the Met Police hold back the BHA supporters up there? If they answer yes, then lock the Palace fans in.
And if they do implement the 'clockwise only' route please announce it. Being in the East Upper, therefor 20 minutes closer to the coaches than the West Upper, means I have 20 minutes extra to get a pint in post match.

How about people go to a game of football with a rival team and not get in a fight? I mean, it is not hard is it? Bunch of idiots.

Not one person on here has expressed an interest in getting into a fight. But the clubs, under advice from the Police (substitute advice with instruction, backed up by thinly veiled threats if not followed) have decided to cut the number of people who can actually watch this popular fixture. The number of arrests at these matches over the last five years in total are probably less than those at a single North London/Old Firm derby game. Who did you say the idiots were again?

Ask if they have any intel on the game and if not why are they bricking it? A few morons will wave their handbags at each other that's a given but surely plod can deal with that if they have to.

Have they ? Is the segregation area going to be over 1000....more likely additional blocks for home fans ?

We should definitely hold them in at the end. Last similar thing I remember was Millwall and they made us wait at Falmer to let those goons get on a ‘special’ train first.

To be fair I thought the last game was managed well by the club (result and poogate aside). It was a very emotional evening and the Palace fans were managed well as far as I could see. Like Bozza however I’ve tried to erase it from my mind.

If they are really that concerned only give the CPFC fans their tix when they are on a fleet of coaches that leave their stadium and drop them off at ours exactly 30 mins b4 ko, then keep em in 40 mins and heard them back to the coaches straight after and bus em out of town. 40 coaches should do it!

This, like they did with us with the trains, marched us with horses to the trains made us get on them even when people had taken cars and parked locally and they would not let anyone get their cars. Perhaps we could herd them to another railway station (not falmer) further away like they did to us!

After the last game the police marched a group of a few hundred from the north around past the west stand towards the train station, the police were in force at the front and at the rear of the group using the Amex and Bank to effectively box the group in which forced those coming in the opposite direction to have to walk along the edge of this group with either the Amex or a huge bank penning us against them this was potentially a flash point luckly their fans are mostly all mouth.
I did speak to the police officer filming this at the time what was needed was to keep them inside the concourse for a longer period then escort them in groups completly surrounded and not left unprotected on the flanks

Yes - for the Police to treat this like just another game and not massively overreact when there is a “disagreement”. I’ve seen this happen far too often over the years.
