Seriously, is there going to be any proper policing/stewarding ref homophobia? Given all Palace fans will have to be in possession of ID it would be nice to know that homophobic behaviour will be properly dealt with, rather than completely ignored, which is what seems to happen at most games.

Meeting will decide the following.

An email will be sent telling us all to be good boys as Christmas is coming.
It will be decided that a clockwise route around the stadium will be in place.
Crystal palace fans will need an escort, everywhere.
Police horses will be drafted in from across the country, (Sussex police doesn't have any)
Great white sharks on leads, handled by dickheads, will be everywhere.


The game will pass off as uneventful as any other and the fans representative groups and police will have a joint ejaculation at how fab they are.

Can the CPFC fans please be dealt with in the same way that we are when we travel up to the worst PL ground.

They are kept in for a minimum of 45 minutes to allow most of the home P+R, Buses and Train queues to have dwindled down to next to nothing.
And while still in the ground can we replay all of our goals in the home win.

Seriously if they are going to block off people going from the west stand to the coach park, can it be announced in advance.

Also are southern ensuring that all trains are eight carriages?
Is there going to be a special train laid on for them?if so are the fans heading east going to be held on the bridge as they get slowly marched towards the station.

If Palace fans are to be locked in after the game are we still allowed to drink on our own concourse. Always stay for a post match beer before heading to the station. This would mean those staying for a pint will be heading to the bridge about the same time as the Palace.
Really this is all just a poor show from all parties concerned, it's just another game of football!

DON'T put a special train on for Palace. It messes up the rest of the eastbound service as well as providing a potential flashpoint at the station. I would be amazed if SASTA would play ball anyway, given their contract.

Won't happen because of the complications of getting trains back to Brighton & then Croydon. You could get away with it for an afternoon kick off, but not an evening game that doesn't finish until just before ten. The last thing they want is a load of Palace fans getting stuck in Falmer or Brighton.

That said, I think they should do what the Met and BTP did to us one season at Selhurst, when they insisted on every single Albion fan boarding the train that ran fast to Brighton. Meaning those of us who didn't want to go to Brighton had to go all the way down there and then catch another train back up. Tell all the Palace fans they have to go straight to East Croydon, regardless of whether they live in Redhill, Crawley, Worthing or Margate.

I still have bitter memories of being kept in in the ground then to ad insult to injury waiting outside Norwood Junction for ever for a
train in the freezing cold - unnecessarily.

Could you pass on to the club that I think it’s a bit pathetic that the two clubs/police can’t handle a full away fan allocation, when far bigger rivalries in English football manage it every season, without any major problems. It’s like we haven’t really joined the big league yet.

Exactly, it's not Boca v River Plate... it would be nice to get a decent allocation at Selhurst too. On rare occasions there is a need to limit the away team's attendance...but for this fixture (at the Amex, given recent history) it's OTT

This was part of the first communication I had regarding the fixture (and cover some points people have discussed above. Things may have moved on since this was sent to me:

"We would like to replicate what we had in place for the play off semi-final. This included a hold back of Palace fans, Asking West Stand fans to turn right out of the stadium to facilitate the hold back, special train to assist Palace fans direct passage back to East Croydon. These are some things that worked previously, but we want feedback and ideas from both sets of supporters."

Since the play off final we have much more experience of managing larger crowds on a regular basis at Amex so a repeat could be unnecessary

To me the play off semi final arrangements almost gave away fans a platform to perform from so to speak

[MENTION=6886]Bozza[/MENTION] my feedback is the reduced allocation feels OTT. Sure plenty others feel same. It’s kike the authorities are stuck in the last century whilst rest of us have well and truly moved on. Do they do this at other derbies? If so, perhaps we can break new ground again by showing you can have full capacity without serious incidents as I believe this game will be. Oh, and if this fixture occurs again, can we have it back on Saturdays please like other Derbies?

It was home fans on the buses parked on the road. I also fail to see my those that park in the Virgin Gym car park believe they are above those supporters that don't use their own vehicles, and should be allowed out first.

This. I thought the whole idea was to keep Bennetts Field traffic back for 45 minutes after the game to allow all P&R buses and supporter's coaches to clear. This should apply to all private vehicles. Even though dropping off/ picking up in Village Way is supposedly banned too it still continues causing unnecessary delays and potential accidents

Unbelievable isn’t it? In this day and age. Talk about OTT. Puts fans off, I won’t be going to Selhurst, it’s like the authorities are pumped up salivating and wanting trouble. Every camera in S. London pointing at the away fans with lip readers on standby to prosecute people chanting anything that could be interpreted as inflammatory.
