Controversial I know, but I think it's a logical decision based on:
1. Who else would take it?
2. They only need a couple of wins and draws
3. He knows the club
4. He is capable of getting some points with his style of boring football.
5. He is available
6. No compensation to be paid
7. And I Win money on 4-1 bet
8. It's give us a laugh at their expense.

They will be fine, they somehow always are. Parish Is the problem at Palace, no idea on how to run a club and according to Simon Jordan, takes a £3 million a year salary and taken more out of Palace than put in. My Palace mate told me once he rather have Parish than Bloom?

If that’s true I am genuinely lost for words about what’s happening to my club.
Understandable. If Viera had been really poor, I could understand it from the point of view of getting in someone who knows your players, getting you through to summer, when you can rebuild - but Viera could have got you through to summer. Your poor run was against top half teams, and you weren't bad against us.

I’m off to find a damp stone to hide under on here, football wise.
The best thing for your mental health, and for your family, is for you to come and support us.

It's logical given where they are right now, which is managerless.

But that position is entirely self-inflicted.

If they had the courage of their convictions, as Bloom et al displayed through Potter's runs of poor results, they'd have held their nerve and kept their faith in the Viera project.

Parish.

"We tried to follow our rivals philosophy of offering you expansive attacking football within a new 21st century stand, and unfortunately neither has worked out as planned. We're delighted to welcome back Roy, his team and his parked bus in our traditional and much loved vintage main stand".

They just needed to hold their nerve. Vieira would be a better manager for the poor run and getting them out of it. All his knowledge of the club and the players of a young promising manager in the bin. Of course they will get another young progressive manager - they all need a job - but that person will know they won't last the inevitable poor run. And of they get the opportunity - jump ship.

I normally hate Tuesdays…no warm after glow from the previous weekend and the next weekend is too far in the distance.

Today, however, is great.

Today CPFC has appointed Mr Roy Hodgson CBE as their manager. This, in itself, causes me to giggle. But an avid read of their Holmesdale forum has caused me to laugh like a drain. Maybe he will keep them up, maybe he won’t but the in-fighting and anguish over at their place is a thing of utter beauty. Bravo, Beaky!
