Been going for 40 odd years now, so seen all the candidates, Ward, Lawrenson etc. In my opinion he is the most talented player to play for the seagulls bar none. There are times when he has the ball with 2 plus players round him and I am convinced he will lose the ball, but he seems just to glide past players with such ease. Worth my monthly direct debit.

I think you are right except that often it's far more than just two other players around him!

awesome last night, shame players cant read some of his passes. Sublime.

Just a shame Buckley looks half the player when on the pitch at the same time as Vicente.

Wish I had been there to see it. I recall at last seasons Pompey game there were 5, possibly 6 players trying to stop him which they did by giving away a free kick from which he scored.

Vicente had 5 players around him, in their penalty area.

Vicente didn't have full control of the ball.

They still couldn't get the ball off Vicente.

I just don't understand how that is possible.

Just two words are necessary to describe Vicente's performance last night - SIMPLY AWESOME. I make no excuse for the use of caps on this occasion.

A real treat to watch him play.
It must be a real morale boost for the rest of the team at such a crucial time for us, to have him on side.

Absolutely brilliant display by The Messiah, only down side is it shows how average the rest of the squad are.
That is not meant critically, but he is 60 seconds ahead of the rest of his team mates, the balls and passes into the box last night that went begging was heartbreaking.
The only other player that seems to be near his vision is Bridge as he showed last Saturday.
Truely the greatest ever Brighton player, and without doubt head and shoulders above any player in the Championship.
I would be quite happy paying a £60 rise on my season ticket if we could have him for another season.:bowdown:

Thought Orlandi linked quite well with him as well we just need that poacher around the goal mouth to take advantage

I'm bored with all the 'Vicente injured' and 'Vicente overpaid waste of space' threads (and anything else derogatory about our great Spanish Superstar).

I LOVE VICENTE and consider him to be the greatest player to play for The Albion in my lifetime.

Agree or disagree, but this is a positive thread so the naysayers can go 'do one'!

All positive comments accepted! :lolol:

Must admit, thought he wouldn't come back this season, and then thought Cardiff was the last we'd see of him. Chuffed to eat humble pie. I was wrong. He was unbelievable last night at times. Pure genius, and really looks like he wants to be playing football for US. Happy days.

The noises coming from the stands tonight whenever El Puñal was on the ball tonight were xrated! He is unbelievable.
This :) I know that I let out a very strange moan of exhiliration when he played that 50 yard crossfield ball from the North West quadrant out to the left wing...

There were certainly quite a few orgasmic sighs in WSU last night, and that was just the blokes!

He's just wonderful!

Incidentally, the black and white video montage they put together of the Hull match and showed before kick off was basically Vicente PORN.

Slow, tracking shots of him standing over the dead ball, HD slow-mo sashaying, drops of rain cascading around him against the madness. It was like that Zidane film that bloke made.

More please, Barber!
