Dreadful, took my two daughters of 15 and 17 thinking it was going to be a comedy! Thought it was odd that only about 10 people were in the place, we were about the 5,6,&7 to leave, after about 40 minutes. Certainly a different Carrey film

I'm open to all views and reasoned arguments however I could never label a film 'dreadful' having only seen the first 40 minutes.

I would agree. You cannot judge a film unless you have watched it.

Only a view, had I sat there for the entire thing I doubt I would have a different one. No reasoned argument, I'm defo no film citric but the first 40 minutes ranked amongst the worst or least entertaining I've seen

Depp is one of the biggest actors of the past 15 years, nominated for multiple Oscars amongst many other nominations and wins, not to mention one of Hollywood's biggest earners (due to box office success) spanning over a decade.
However, maybe just me, I don't rate him too highly.
Gilbert Grape saw his best performance imo.

I enjoy your threads and I'm more than happy talking films with you. However, you must be totally ignorant!

I amended my post.

Emily Watson. Fantastic young actress who was in a Danish film I watched called Breaking the Waves. Great film with a stunning performance from her. I know she got nominated for awards, but is not overly known by viewers. She was also in a drama on ITV about Fred West. Another great performance in that. Can't remember the name of it though.

I quite like Andrea Riseborough and Mia Wasikowska at the minute. Something about them both. Human and angellic. Gillian Anderson is surprisingly good with age and the forgetfulness of X-Files behind her. Hardly unaccoladed, but i endlessly love the power of performance by Kristin Scott Thomas. Fell in love with what she does in I've Loved You So Long.
For men, just look at the cast of Twelve Angry Men alongside Henry Fonda and you'll see some theatrical screen greats.

Jim Carrey in - I love You Phillip Morris was also great. I've found not many people have even heard of this film!?

Great film. Really enjoyed it. And Carey is very good you are right.

And US, Emily Blunt is very highly rated by me. She is TOO hot!
