£1 a year is nothing, nothing at all. Why not make it £2.50 a year (21p per month) and double your income and do whatever we like! 5000 users paying 21p a month is £12500 a year!

It's more about the mechanism of actually collecting that cash in. Easy for 500 people to say they'll do it, but will they? Bozza would spend all year getting the money in, and then it's round and round again, year in, year out. Just not practical.

I agree with the removal but surely the ads are for people who CHOOSE to use THIS site. I don't imaging if I search for barclays I get NSC because an ad may appear. I don't associate the advertisers with the content of the site. This is mad.

THIS. As long as it's been flagged up, it's never been a problem in my book. It is a shame that we have to have a clean up like this, but as long as the vaguely 'anarchic' feel of NSC, the irreverence and the banter remain, it'll be ok.

1. All threads left on the Big Board, have no IMG tags and no attachments in them.
2. All threads with either attachment(s) and/or IMG tags have been moved elsewhere, currently out of view.

Using this crude methodology there will be false positives. For example I've probably just hidden away a large number of Amex photos - we'll remedy that ASAP.

I've also had another thought - NSC CAN host 'questionable' content and continue to make use of Adsense. What we would have to do is segregate the two, i.e. have a 'NSFW' forum, or similar, on which I suppressed the display of Adsense ads.

That actually might be a better solution to what we've got now. At least it keeps it all in one place and you can regulate who uses it

I don't think anyone cares about X rated stuff, you can find that on t'internet if you want to look. It's exactly stuff like the Rachael thread, or the Emma Watson thread that we need to preserve if possible. NSC is more than just a football board and always has been. It's the chat in the pub with your mates before and after the game, in a male dominated environment that should include topical birds off the telly, in the paper etc....etc....
