no need for sex on here at all or tittys for that matter just get rid, no point having a nsfw forum either just looks tacky mate, keep it as it is people dont like it then they can go else were, this is a very well run forum

Agree with all of that.

I think it is perfectly clear where the line has been drawn, and anybody who crosses it should get a 12 month ban, minimum, no warning.

What we will do, however, is ask posters that the more risque stuff is posted in the new forum. Where posters fail to do this, or a previously clean thread moves in another direction moderators will move the thread.
If somebody hijacked my clean thread in such a way I would expect those posts to be moved (i.e.deleted), and not my thread. We can't afford leniency in this respect; anybody jeopardising NSC's main revenue stream in this way deserves a lengthy ban for a first offence.

Bozza, I know I'm not a brighton fan and that, but you don't want to go the same way the southampton forum has. 5 Years ago, we had saintsforever which was up there with the most read football forums in the country, then after that was shut down after a massive scandal saints web/the saints forum was set up and started to charge people a subscription to post. This completely split up the community that was previously there and no doubt, the same would happen here.

In the event of Google pulling out, have you considered other sponsors, such as beers, online casino's.... companies that provide a product or service generally targeting adults?

Just a thought.

Its easy really, don't post anything that would jeopardise income for NSC. As everyone is saying, you can get your fix of porn on millions of sites. But how many other sites have the quality posters we have here? You won't find another Albion site like this one EVER.

To be honest, NSC is a porn free zone.

It would also be a much poorer site if all that people discussed was Inigo Calderon's shoe size or the hue of blue in the new kit.

Virtually of the images were no more explicit than you would see in the Daily Star or the Sun. If NSC only discussed football matters we might as well merge with the Palace forums.
p.s. I think Calde is a size 9 and does anyone have a Dulux colour chart ?

This.
I think some of the anti-Palace rhetoric though could be toned down a bit. Perhaps Bozza you could put a block on any message that refers to P-I-K-E-Y-S......

Under your skin.
If it wasn't for Google Ads, NSC would have made a loss of £219.40 last month.

NSC has a ballance of £6127.56.

Enough to run the forum without adverts for 27 months... Now I might be GIANTLY wrong but, I'm sure somebody could find a solution to a problem by September 2013. So, you know, this seems to be everybody making a big deal out of nothing.

A quick suggestion while the temp mods are going through the potentially NSFW threads.

As we all know at this moment in time NSC is running at a loss without the Goggle cash, how about at the top of every page have a donation bar with the target set at the monthly hosting fee with a donate button next to it? Lets see if the people who claim they will donate actually do it and see if you can make the site sustainable via donations.

I also suggest no statuses or badges on peoples profiles if they donate, this will just lead to peoples donation status being thrown back at them in a disagreement

What do others think?

Some months will be higher fees than others when the domain names need renewing, the VBulletin licence needs renewing and other fees that crop up, your 27 month estimate is probably closer to 18 months. And of course if server costs go up again it could be even less. Better to keep a good reserve incase of emergencies than let it run down

I'm currently drafting some better defined rules as to what is appropriate and what isn't. I hope to publish them in the not too distant future so that we can re-apply to Google, hoping that we stat onside.

The NSC cashpot is pretty healthy so we can stand a week or two of negligible income whilst we go through the process. If we're turned away by Google we'll then consider a plan B for reducing costs and earning revenue from elsewhere.

Hi Bozza,
I'm with Gary Leeds. I can't see much harm in a donations button whatever the outcome of the Google business.

I give five bucks a month to Radio Paradise because I love it and would miss it horribly if it vanished, and I'd be more than happy to set up an auto-payment for a fiver a month to NSC for exactly the same reasons (not to mention being rather concerned that Google and its advertisers can wield such power).

I'll get that back and more just by laying Uncle Spielberg's tips on Betfair.
