Simple question really - who should we start in goal against Chelsea on Friday evening?

Would be happy to see Rushworth get a game on Friday with Bart's form being quite indifferent, plus in the league we're drifting to a mid table finish, so IMO worth the risk.

This is my thinking too.

Fab will almost definitely stick with Bart. He’s shown time and again that when a player makes a bad mistake or isn’t in a good space he’ll show faith and back them in the next game. He did it with Wieffer after the Wolves debacle, he did it with Webster after Chelsea away and he did it with Hinshelwood tonight after last week. It’s obvious that continuing to back the man is how FH has decided it’s best to manage a situation like that, rather than take the player out of the firing line, which is absolutely his call to make as the manager.

Sadly he has endured a poor season on balance.. Bart has conceded at least five goals through errors, mostly ill judged passes.

If Jason was fit he should have been selected by now.

I am open minded about playing Varl

Sanchez has become the most despised keeper in Chelsea’s history with their fan base and has been relegated to cup keeper. I’m not sure that a good comparison.

No he's not been relegated to cup keeper - they've played 4 PL games this year and he's been the keeper for all of them. The only game he's not been their keeper for was in the cup against Morecombe.

He's not been dropped despite being despised and making a lot of errors. Bart is young and has potential still, so dropping him for a few errors would be a mistake.

Trouble is if he continues to make them, and it’s more than a few for me, Palace, Arsenal, Fulham, Forest etc….. his confidence will get more damaged and then it is an even longer journey back.

I get you can argue both ways, but I think it would also freshen him up a bit.
