March will also drop out (but needs to be replaced by a player who meets the necessary HGP criteria).Correct. 1 space remaining. Moder and Enciso need to be added if we want them to be involved.
Dahoud and Lallana out I reckon.

Yep. which we don't have; so March may stay in the squad. Either way, we can't replace him with a BHAFC HGPMarch will also drop out (but needs to be replaced by a player who meets the necessary HGP criteria).

Presumably the first leg of the February KO stage, rather than OUR first KO leg, in March?Think we have up to the day before the first leg of the ko stage to add players, so plenty of time to see who deserves to make it. Injuries could impact selection as well.
Obviously there was some interest pre Christmas (from other clubs) but by that logic you or I could sign for any club in the World. Teams have to actually bid for players to sign them and it looks like we (by some miracle given how keen City seemed to be) are the only team who've actually done that.....
The lad could have signed for pretty much any big club in the WORLD, and has seemingly chosen to come to us. There is not a chance he has done so, without very firm promises that he's coming to play first team football.

Not when there is a release clause.Obviously there was some interest pre Christmas (from other clubs) but by that logic you or I could sign for any club in the World. Yes and no. We are unlikely to sell our best players to Spurs unless they are coming to the end of their contracts. So Biss type sales are still to be expected as they are our business model. However unwanted sales of our best players are less likely since only a few clubs are as stupid with money as Chelsea are/were.Pretty much every club is a stepping stone club isn't it? Other than Citeh, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern and maybe PSG, every club can and does lose players to a bigger club. The benefit of us doing so well is that the clubs that we might lose players to has reduced significantly. For example, I don't see us selling our best player to Tottenham like we did with Bissouma. Now, it's down to clubs that offer either a boatload more money or title/Champions League winning potential or both.
Tim Vickery is saying it’s a done deal (according to all the Argentine media).Sorry, is this a 'done deal' (maybe I have missed it) or are we being a bit dizzy and giddy with anticipated excitement?!
It's as done as a deal can be without an official shirt holding/contract signing photo.Sorry, is this a 'done deal' (maybe I have missed it) or are we being a bit dizzy and giddy with anticipated excitement?!

Indeed.Tim Vickery is saying it’s a done deal (according to all the Argentine media).
I agree. I also wonder if RDZ will want to use him as the hybrid full back out of possession, deep lying midfielder in possession, that he's been experimenting with over the past few months (mainly with Milner). Barco looks like he has all the attributes to play in this role.I'm pretty certain that he will be on our first team bench, from the very first match that he is fit and available for selection.
