Something certainly seems to be. Wonder if we'll ever find out what?Pompey Stevo that I work with is in a fantasy football league and has had great insight into the Brighton ‘unheard of’s’ that are very cheap, over the last few years he’s got in early with some of our best players because it’s all he hears about at work!
He thought Barco was his secret weapon this year… was gobsmacked when the guy that beats him into second in his league every year also had Barco
I’ve just looked it up and Barco was actually the fifth most picked left back in the whole competition this year selected by 22% of players.
What is going on with the lad?
Sevilla manager: "He didn’t have the minutes I suppose he wanted. I imagine he is trying to find an exit.
“For the moment he will train normally but it is true that he has asked to not be called up for tomorrow’s game.”
If Imari Samuels goes on loan, there'll be room for a LB in the U21s....................................Just bring him back, he’ll get at least as many minutes here as he did at Sevilla.
Blimey, she's got quite a belly on her.Reports out of Portugal strongly suggesting Porto is not on the cards at all.
"FC Porto did not make any contact with Brighton, not even with Valentín Barco, in view of the hiring of the Argentine left-back, Record found.
García Pimienta, Sevilla coach, confirmed this Friday that Valentín Barco asked not to be called up for the King's Cup match against Almería, since his departure from the club is being discussed. The Spanish press, as well as the Argentine, put him on the Dragon route, but our newspaper knows that there is no conversation in this regard."

Mrs Barco has packed up and is ready to leave Sevilla however...

Almeria, currently in the second division, ended up beating Sevilla 4-1 - perhaps Barco saw it coming and figured he’d rather play FortniteGarcía Pimienta, Sevilla coach, confirmed this Friday that Valentín Barco asked not to be called up for the King's Cup match against Almería, since his departure from the club is being discussed. We had a place for him in the squad this season. Like a mildly annoyed Hurz strongly indicated in the summer, the player himself didn't think he could take a place in the team so he wanted the loan. Quite clear he wants to be a starter and we can't give him that.Just bring him back, he’ll get at least as many minutes here as he did at Sevilla.
I think the point has been made though that he doesn’t want to come back, because he wants to be a first teamer wherever that may be, and we can’t offer him that ahead of Pervis. If we bring him and Buona back we could field nine lefties in the starting line-up. I think he could take a lot of game-time off Stupi. With Ferdi out for a while, let's have him back.
He did of course sign a contract with us.I think the point has been made though that he doesn’t want to come back, because he wants to be a first teamer wherever that may be, and we can’t offer him that ahead of Pervis.
The way Pervis is playing at present I suggest Barco would be way ahead of him in the pecking order.I think the point has been made though that he doesn’t want to come back, because he wants to be a first teamer wherever that may be, and we can’t offer him that ahead of Pervis.
I am aware of this, I am just saying why he may not be willing to come back and fight as a squad player, being it was hinted by FH as the reason he went on loan in the first place. I can’t see that anything has changed. He did of course sign a contract with us.
Our first priority is the club, not a particular player
If true, I can see why the club might want to bin him off asap. Jumped up little Ginja!I think the point has been made though that he doesn’t want to come back, because he wants to be a first teamer wherever that may be, and we can’t offer him that ahead of Pervis.
Except that, even though players probably have too much power these days, what he's willing to do doesn't come into it. The Albion pays his (not inconsiderable) wages, so the Albion decide when and where he plays football (or sits on the bench) whether he's willing or not.I am aware of this, I am just saying why he may not be willing to come back and fight as a squad player, being it was hinted by FH as the reason he went on loan in the first place. Pervis is playing like a man with no competition for his place at the moment. The way Pervis is playing at present I suggest Barco would be way ahead of him in the pecking order.
