Hello, I am a new member of the forum, from Argentina
I think that Roberto is right not to rush Barco to play, he has to know his teammates better, and his teammates him, as long as it's not for a long time either, South American players tend to get depressed if they don't play, much more so if they see that the equipment is not working so well
Another thing that would seem correct to me is that they should use him in midfield instead of left back to start, he doesn't know the forwards in the league and he's also not that good of a defender.
Welcome…don’t worry, he’ll be looked after well…….we’re excited to see what he can do. Think he’s far more likely to play a bit at left wing than left back, particularly given our injuries.

Welcome!
equipo -> team (not 'equipment', at least not in this context). No sé fíe del traductor automático 😉

Did you watch him at Boca?

Welcome.

Can I ask, how is the progress of Buonanotte considered to be going in Argentina?

Messi moved with his family to Spain, just after his 12th birthday. I doubt anyone in Argentina had even heard of him.
No, later on when he became famous, there was a lot of disgruntlement that he’d moved away too young and was more Spanish than Argentinian. Until he won them the Copa and then World Cup, he wasn’t loved or even liked over there like Maradona and some of their other heroes because of that as well as the fact they weren’t winning. In fact, he was almost hated for a while.

I think the thing with Messi is, apart of not winning with the national team, and that he walks a long part of the game, is that he wasnt a leader like Maradona
He became a leader after the 2018 world cup or a bit later
And haters decreased a lot since then
Later when the team become winning things was just an irrefutable idol
messi's skills were never in doubt

First cap in the bag.

And making an impact too and looking very confident - struggling against defenders a little bit though.

Good to see Facundo and Alexis in there too - Come on BHA, 9 more Argentinian singings and we could field the entire Argentinian side with current and ex-Albion players :ascarf:

Edit - Something very strange about watching the World Champions play with the commentator barking ‘Barco’, ‘Buonanotte’ and then ‘Mac Allister’. We seem to have a knack of signing good players !

Morning squire. Is that Facu and Barco playing for Argentina's first team or U23s?
