Sacroiliac (ride on time , The Hucklebuck)

Can immediatly think of three songs with that word:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yimoQM6tIaA

"Back to back
Sacroiliac
Spineless movement and a wild attack"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PobrSpMwKk4

"Got a bum education, double-digit inflation
Can't take the train to the job, there's a strike at the station
Neon King Kong standin' on my back
Can't stop to turn around, broke my sacroiliac"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJoHuXCy-Dc

"Put a hump in your back
Shake your sacroiliac
And ride on
Let's take a ride"

That said... I have no idea what it means and you are probably right it is unusual or I would never have noticed it!

Shark.

Tha Association, big hit, 1982 - featured the immortal line "Even a slight remark makes nonsense and turns to shark".

I kid you not .....

If only I'd realised what cr@p you could get away with when I was trying to write songs back then! Another odd word, but much better music, is 'Scatterlings'.

If/when HWT comes along with his selection, I've never heard of them, and I probably don't need to! OK?

I think I would probably just say hip - but that would screw up a few good tunes

Not an unusual word for a British artist, but in the second verse of this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EdxM72EZ94

Prince sings 'Turn on the telly and every other story is tellin' you somebody died'. I would have expected most Americans to use 'TV' instead of 'telly'. I love that he doesn't. It allows for better flow of the line and just seems to evidence that care has been taken to choose the best word to suit every situation. It's very subtle but shows a great craftsman at work.
