Wow, never thought anyone would ever mention Brandt Brauer Frick on NSC

Why? I'm pretty sure I've mentioned them on here before even.

Have I been whooshed or something?

I wasn’t being sarcastic, I was being genuine, I like them as well. Few people seem to have heard of them so I was genuinely pleased to see your post.

What year was this any idea?

Feck I had some Jeff Mills in my vinyl collection which played inside out ie the stylus started in the middle and it played backwards, right pain in the arse to mix

Blue Potential which was the album from this collaboration was released in 2006.

That must have been impossible to mix! Saw Mills plenty of times back in the day jamming with 3 decks and an 808 - he used to come over with Universe every year - but I bet he never played any inside out vinyl in that!

Serge also collaborated with Catherine Deneuve and showed some interest in partnering with Whitney Houston

I imagine he did, the dirty old bugger.
His most controversial collaboration was with a young teenage French singer called France Gall, the result of which left her emotionally scarred with a deep distrust of men. Gainsbourg wrote a song for her called "Les Sucettes". She naively believed it to be a song about lollipops but it was actually a song about fellatio. She was also innocently oblivious of the graphic symbolism of the video she appeared in to promote the song. There's even a video of Gainsbourg "casually" asking her what the song is about and she gives him her innocent explanation. In the notorious video she sings solo but she also sang a version with Gainsbourg

Here's the story behind the song

And years later the experience with Gainsbourg still haunted her
