Watched the first half before turning over to watch the last episode of River. From what I saw, even though France were probably only playing at 90%, we looked pretty good. Rooney still looked out of sorts in the first half though and his free kick was very tame.

I know, it's mental reading these threads sometimes. England lose in Spain = we are shit, sack Hodgson. England win against France = not a competitive game so we are still shit. We really do have some complete fools as fans, and they are not helped by a news media with the collective attention and memory span of a goldfish.

Great post that

I said, last week, that these two friendlies, would be useful for trying out youngsters, and got shouted down tha Hodgson should know his best 11 by now, and shouldn't be experimenting.

Injuries to senior players forced Woy's hand re picking the youngsters and, in turn, they are playing for squad places in the tournament just 7 months away. France proved they are quality by beating Germany on Friday night, so two very different matches as it turned out.

That's not fair. I knew it was tongue in cheek, but chose to add humour. I ask thee to withdraw thy 'woosh', or at least make it smaller.

I unreservedly remove it
