It's not the shagging that made people dislike him, it was the cowardly way he attempted to hide behind an injunction- not because he wanted to protect his wife & kids as he inevitably stated, but in order to protect his own cheating backside. Even that was a bit of a joke. He'd done nothing specific that year to warrant it, merely made a lot of appearances for Man United. As did Paul Scholes, but he never won the thing. Giggs winning rather summed up a poor sporting year in this country (and a prominent campaign by the Man United loving members of the media).
My girlfriend's husband works at United, and by far the nicest of the lot was the boy Beckham closely followed by Ole Solskjaer.
