He also taught me that it is wrong to support any team that wears red.
And if your team has only ever come close to one major trophy, and were beaten to it by a club whose fans will be upset if they don't win any silverware this year, then it is hard to feel much sympathy for them.

I'd go back further than that to the point when Utd started the campaign to stop gate receipts being shared between clubs, Had it not been for the likes of Abramovic pumping his own money in to a club you'd just be watching total Utd dominance now.
