How do USG fans feel about the multi club ownership and being the second team?

Are they just pleased to be back amongst the best teams in Belgium, or do they harbour any grudges?

As the clubs are run entirely separately, we’ve seen very little crossover apart from the usual feeder club arrangements with recruitment, which is the point of club coupling.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a single USG fan on here come to think of it.

In their position I’d be delighted going from nowhere to one of the best teams in the country. I can relate; being a Brighton fan and everything.

am I right in saying you can’t have the same owner for different clubs in a UEFA comp ? So how will that work if Brighton and USG both get into European competitions next season ?

Both Red Bull clubs are allowed to enter after UEFA investigated and found they were run as separate entities with no board level cross over. As TB doesn’t sit on the board at USG and there is no other share at a director level the same should apply.

Im sure TB wouldn’t run the risk of one club or the other being denied entry into European competition.

If it was an issue then the club that qualifies for the higher competition would be given the place. If both teams qualify for the same competition then the one finishing higher in their domestic league would get priority.
