Royal Antwerp won 3-0 in the other semi final (4-1 on aggregate) last night so will be Union's opponents in the final.

Back to the league tomorrow away at Óscar García's Oud-Heverlee Leuven.

You’re right. One assumes the date will be moved if Union progress to the Europa Conference semi finals.

Union took a bit of a battering tonight with no help from the referee. 3-0 to Fenerbahçe and no Amoura for the return leg...I think the Belgian final will be 9th May...

Another point...

Tough final game of the regular season for Union, away to Antwerp. Anderlecht at home to bottom club Kortrijk...

A nice little surprise home defeat for Anderlecht in their final match ensuring USG start the play offs with a minimum 3 point lead (with one game remaining)
They’ll need more than that seeing as their performance in play-offs is so similar to ours!

I note the points are rounded up so tomorrow’s last match is worth 2 points to USG on the championship playoffs - a draw is worth 1 point too. Need to get something - ideally win and have a 5 point lead which you’d think would be enough… but after previous years…

A win tomorrow will mean USG hold the advantage should they finish level on points with Anderlect at the end of the play offs.

In the event of two teams finishing level on points the first tie break to remove any rounding up made at the end of the league stage.

Even a draw would give USG the same advantage but the starting gap would be 3 points rather 5.

Got ya - cos Anderlecht have finished on an odd number right? Only thing I make you wrong on is the starting gap thing. But I also make myself wrong on that now too from my original post having looked at the points totals.

Anderlect will start on 32 points (half 63 rounded up)

USG lose - 69 - 35 - 3 ahead

USG draw tomo - 70 points (35) - 3 ahead

USG win tomo and its 72 points (36) - 4 ahead

I think I was just thinking about the gap to Anderlecht and not the actual points totals..?

1-1 Final score. Means a 3 point advantage for USG going into the play offs. That equaliser means Antwerp take third place from Club Brugge who lost today.

Final games to play that effect the play offs.

Gent vs Charleroi
Westerlo vs Genk
OH Leuven vs Mechelen
Cercle Brugge vs RWDM.

Genk and Mechelen are in the play off places but any slip ups could let in Cercle Brugge and Gent. Although any of those clubs are going to start the play offs at least 10 points behind USG.

Like you said, that point means they win it if they’re level with Anderlecht after the play offs are done right? That comes before goal difference too?

I don't think goal difference comes into it. If level on points without any half points added, it is then down to the regular season finishing position.
