IM suffering from writers block at the moment so struggling to come up with any good new material a bit like Paul Weller
Got a few song titles but can't work any verses or chorus's
OSCAR GARCIA SPANISH PRINCE OF FLAIR is a title I'm working on but that's as far as I've got

If he signs, Spanish Dave would fit nicely into something based on Spanish Bombs by The Clash.

"He's Spanish Dave and he plays for Brighton & Hove Albion.
Spanish Dave, score a goal for me..."

Or something like that.

That's actually brilliant. The wording fits perfectly. I'm singing it now, in my pants.

I did hear The Bollox bus ultras singing an Oscar song at Whitehawk on Saturday along the lines of JOY DIVISIONS -LOVE WILL TEAR US APART
Sounded quite good actually

I don't know why you're asking the 'Ultras' to come up with a song. It'll either be a highly original "Whooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" song that they copied off Palace or so long and complicated that nobody can get the words anyway...

Instead of Gus Poyet's blue and white army we could have Oscar Garcia's Sangria Army?

Also we could modify the ankergren song for Spanish Dave "Spanish Dave, Spanish Dave, Spanish Spanish Dave, lala lala la" and repeat.

Like that. While Spanish Bombs ought to be perfectly well known to anyone with halfway decent taste in music, I suspect it may be a new one on lots of people. So might take a while, but willing to give it a go. *makes note in new songs notebook*

:moo:Her name was Oscar, he was from barca
With yellow feathers he had flair and moulded a team like them down to there
He would tic and tac and do the sea-gul
And while he tried to bring us flair
Tony always warmed the chair
Across the crowded amex they worked for albion
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?

[Chorus:]
At the amex amex in falmer
The hottest spot north of barca
At the amex amex in falmer
Football and passion were always in fashion
At the albion.... they fell in love

His name was caldo
He wore a diamond
He was escorted to his chair, he saw Ocar conducting there
And when he finished,he called him over
But caldo went a bit to far
Tony sailed across the bar
And then the punches flew and chairs were smashed in two
There was blood and a single gun shot
But just who shot who????
