i feel hes a good player but hes just looked so tired in the last couple of games
You obviously know nothing about football. His first touch is absolutely second to none, I've never seen so many good first touches in my life. Not all strikers need speed, certainly not ones of his build.
Monday night his performance was down to Orlandi, Dave and Buckley going MIA. Can't be faulted at all IMO
1 in the last 12 I think, and it was a penalty. How many did Murray (top) get the last 9-10 games of the season?
This isn't a reactionary thread purely down to Monday night, but I think he's been poor for 4/5 games now (even when he scored against Leeds). Is the honeymoon period over, or is it down to him getting little service?
Got a great touch for a big fella eh? Haven't heard that cliche since Peter Crouch.
Anyhow, not knocking him too much just observing that on Monday (slightly less so than Friday) many of his control touches bounced off 4 or 5 yards to opposition players, and a couple of times he tried to 'run' the defender it simply did not work.
Bit of an overstatement to say 'know nothing about football' .Who is to say you are right, my opinion is as valid as yours?
First touch second to none, I disagree with your view. Has scored some excellent goals and in time will I am sure become a good all round striker, always takes a little time to hone skills in a new league.
Do you not watch The Big Match Revisited?I've been reading the biography of Peter Ward. Amazing how he managed to play 56 games in one season, not missing any, and never being subbed. These days a striker plays four or five games in a row and we worry about them being tired!
