I don't know the full details of this case so have not much to add. As for my own opinion on UKIP, they are a far right party with devisive policies and some very questionable ideas about immigration suffice it to say, I'm not a fan. Having met several UKIP members I have to say, not the sharpest of folks.

UKIP is really just a party posing as anti-Europe however I suspect if you scratch the surface a bit there is a bigger agenda than just Europe

C'mon then, spill the beans, the bigots are all over this because ...........

There gave you a little help.

The bigots such as Bushy will love this because in a lot of people's minds this will be a very questionable decision ( I too have my reservations), therefore they will use it as a touchstone and refer to it to back up their ill formed, weak arguments at every opportunity for the next decade. In my opinion. Anything else you ar ehaving trouble with? Pants first, then trousers.

or alternatively it might be seen, in 10 years time, as the beginning of an awakening that led to UKIP becoming marganilsed as an extreme right wing party with divisive, nationalist and racist policies.

I always find it bizarre when people criticise any political parties policies but don't detail what the policy is ( probably because they don't actually know what they are ).

This is a good decision. UKIP is the BNP of the (lower) middle class.

That is why the Tories are in a panic , they have the most to lose with voters switching to another party.

Pure playing politics by the Labour council.

UKIP are rapidly becoming an attractive proposition for the next election ( not to win but certainly to win seats from all the other parties ) and Labour and the Tories don't like it.

With such a poor Labour opposition opposite a very unpopular Tory government ( the Lib Dems are dead ) who else is there to vote for. Strange because both the Torys and Labour could kill UKIP dead by promising a referendum on our EU membership ( and I mean PROMISING, not like Labours last mealy mouth attempt at a promise ).
You could not have said it better. Trouble is people all moan and want change but when they get the chance to change things they vote the same way as they always have....conclusion.....more of the same.

I know exactly what their proposals are it's there for anyone to see on their website and much discourse can be sourced from many places. It is a very feeble argument you have put forward, accusing people of not knowing their policies just because someone doesn't list all UKIP's details on a post .

You must be a bitter little man then.

Not really seeing as UKIP have about as much chance of being voted into power as you do of understanding this post :wrong:

Anyways, really don't give a tinker's f***. Sure the kids will be alright and UKIP will never get voted in. Don't do binfestery on Saturday's, even rainy ones. Enjoy the game.

OK, let's summarise UKIPs immigration policy - it should be controlled from both outside the EU and within the EU. Almost exactly the same policy as the USA, Canada and Australia to name but a few. Yet because UKIP suggest it then it's somehow racist ???

I had to laugh this week when Nigel Farage was moaning about wasting money by the EU and Guy Verhofstadt (who I can't stand either) the former Belgian PM said "The only waste here is your salary, you cheat your voters because you hardly ever turn up and don't do your job".

Don't think so, there are lots of people who want this country to return to how the Isle of Wight was in 1955, and UKIP ticks a lot of boxes for them.

This is true, although in this case it is interesting that the couple in question were previously labour supporters. Given that some on the left have also been opposed to the pan european Thatcherite free market capitalist policies of the EU it should not be a surprise that UKIP also take support from labour too.

Before Kinnock (and his brood) was given a ticket for the EU gravy train he twice stood as a prospective PM who would have taken the UK out of the EU. The Tories by contrast were EU supporters, something the less mature and weak minded on this thread would do well to remember.

Fact is that EU membership has in recent years been a catastrophe for the low skilled and those in traditionally working class occupations..........the labour markets have been flooded and hence wage levels have been pushed downwards. Genuine socialists understand this and understand that both the unions and the Labour Party have been corrupted in their myopic support of the EU.

In 2009 euro elections UKIP polled 2.4m votes which was more than labour, Edward Milliband is not so stupid to realise that having a soft EU sceptic position will help his standing, ergo he took the decision to support a cut in the EU budget.

The reality is the major parties are moving to UKIPs position.............it's only the bigots that can't see this.............. just like Rotherham Council.
