Do you even know what Racism is? Skin colour. Romania is a nationality.

Racism is actions, practices or beliefs, or social or political systems that consider different races to be ranked as inherently superior or inferior to each other, based on presumed shared inheritable traits, abilities, or qualities. It may also hold that members of different races should be treated differently

To understand that, you need to define Race: A classification system used to categorize humans into large and distinct populations or groups by anatomical, cultural, ethnic, genetic, geographical, historical, linguistic, religious, and/or social affiliation.

UKip wanting less centralisation of power (out of the EU) is a very left wing policy.

.

No it isn't. Traditionally the parties of the left and centre stand for more government and regulation and those of the right stand for less.....

and therein lies the problem, the definition has been extended to become is meaningless. half of those distintions are nonsence, basically you can qualify Brigthon fans as a race (cultural, historical, possibly linguistic as noone else says "binfest" or "fixtures"). Christians would be a race (religious). Labour members from Manchester would be a race (geography, social affiliation). and you could be in all of these at once. meaningless. it causes more issues as people that are the same are pigeon holed so someone can be offended for them, and condesend to protect them.

Cluck me, did you actually just write that? Wow.

Parking race then for a second. Do you think it's okay to discriminate against people based upon their nationality? Gender? Number of legs? Sexual leaning? Hair colour? Length of sexual organs?

But if you start from a point of not discriminating against people generally, then it's a start right?

'He believes the attack stemmed from his affiliation with Ukip and claims his assailants were Labour supporters.'

oh well, if he believed it stems from his affiliation with UKIP, then that must be it. Case closed.

A disabled labour counciller was atttacked by a UKIP candidate in the street this week... but hey.

Still a one-way street and you condone this as well ... your sick geezer nobody deserves that regardless of who they support

If any of you have any figures to back up your Romanian's are thoroughbred criminals I'd love to see them? Because it seems to me you have fallen hook line and sinker for the incoherent, ill informed ramblings of a racist gumbleduke who can sniff a modicum of success in Europe and doesn't know what to do with himself like when you get a dog excited and it pisses on the floor. Still, he'll **** off again when the general election comes around.

Mum and dad had some Romanians living next door and they all worked bloody hard, no problem at all

Is it condoning an attack to question the motivation of the perpetrator rather than just accepting what the victim claims was the motivation?

Is it something you would do because some-one doesn't agree with you ... I hope not .... I would see that as bullying which is just as bad

Pointedly, it was discussed by LBC's political commentator and James O Brien this week, that Farage's comments/interview last week, were 'xenophobic, and not racist' with Lab, Cons and Lib all in unison about that (apart from David Lammy who charged in and got it all wrong, and later corrected his comments)
The crux of it was, To be Xenophobic = To be sceptical or irrationally scared of another nationality.

Talking of Labour...........meanwhile today..........
Labour Party donor and and stalwart of the Labour's 'Finance and Industry Group' Ian Wallace has today announced that he is joining UKIP after becoming disillusioned by the direction the Labour Party has taken. Mr Wallace has called on Labour members to join UKIP alongside him, to vote for them in tomorrow's European and local elections, and indeed give them support in the 2015 general election.

Questioning what someone tells us is the reason someone else attacked them? No, people do that with people they agree with all the time, as well, even with people they generally regard as honest, not just people they disagree with. But this guy is a politician, politicians of all parties are seen as less than entirely honest so are even more likely to be questioned when we only hear one side of the story.

You only need to see all the sympathy-seeking threads (I got banned for racism, stewards were mean to me, etc) we've had on here to see people raise questions (a lot of people just accept the stories too, but there are always people that question things as well),

Can't be bothered trawling through all of this so please forgive me if this has been asked before...

Are Europeans a different race from Brits? Surely Farage isn't a racist but instead a culturist? Isn't he objecting to white people coming in from other countries in Europe? I suppose Roma gypsies are an ethnic group distinct from others in terms of genealogy (their lineage being distinctly north african and Asian) but the rest iof Europes population is a mixture of Anglo Saxon, Celtic and Semitic origin.

Mr. Farage goes to great lengths pointing out that he is discriminating against white people from other countries migrating within the EU rather than black people or Pakistanis for example.

I imagine he is actually a racist as well but I don't have any particular evidence to support that view. Realistically we all know that the Tory party is stuffed with PROPER racists but, unlike UKIP, they have control of their more rabid nazis.
So Diane Abbott..(Labour) being shown up on television of having racist views is alright then...because she is from the Left side of politics.
UKIPs policy is not to stop immigration but for the British people having a say on immigration and who comes into the country and who we can deport, instead of a immigrant rapist being allowed to stay in the UK because he has a cat...jeez! Labours open door policy has a lot to answer for, which even Jack Straw who was party to that decision has said it was wrong, but no...it's the nasty UKIP that is in the wrong according to you. We will see this weekend when the results come in from the election...I do predict that Lib Dems who are very pro Europe will get a shock.
