There is ZERO chance that we spend six years nurturing Sanchez, managing his loans to Rochdale, etc....then, just as he starts to come good, we sell him. We MAY sell him, of course, in the future, once he's played 100+ games in the EPL and represented Spain, but selling him this summer would be bizarre. It's not happening!

Should he continue his fine form over the next 7 games it wouldn’t surprise me at all, if we received at the very least an enquiry for him and possibly a bid to test the water. Clubs here and in Europe may feel better to sign him this early for £20+m than a year later for £30+m.

Would the board be tempted to sell him should such a bid be received this summer?

Do you? Who do you think is going to buy him then? I hope you're right, but I wouldn't be surprised if we're either stuck with him or have to loan him out for the season in order to get him off the books (or as much off the books as we can get someone to pay).

I suspect there would be a lot of clubs interested in signing a goalkeeper who has over 100 PL appearances, is a current international, only 29 years old and available for less than £5million.

I think we can be fairly confident that as per Tariq Lamptey and Ben White that there will be a new 4 year contract announced in the summer on greatly improved terms. Clearly if a big club then comes in with an offer the following summer, we will have protected our investment and be able to demand a big fee.

It's It's way the club is moving forward with these young players, relying on them coming good to the reinvest the profits. Good model and we get to see these future superstars for a few years.

Hope we get to keep Sanchez for another couple of years before he hits the big time and I think he owes us that with the development path we have given him

If you are talking about Sanchez he signed a new deal about 6 weeks ago till summer 2025

I hope you're in a position of power at one of them.
