Imagine if you will, you are the agent of Vicente, with a proven track record, if a little crocked in places, of proven football greatness. Along comes Brighton and our Gus, full of passion. Persuades the man to talk and even entertain a medical to prove fitness. I for one, if his agent, would want that knowledge public. Pass medical, on a free and available. I would advise Senor Vicente to wait 72hrs to see if any bigger clubs bite! Hold on to your hat. I want him, I hope we get him but, I fear!

This does sound VERY plausible, but negotiating tactics like that leave a very bad taste in this country.

Blackburn are a club staring into the abyss imo. I don't get the impression their owners have a clue what they're doing, but they also won't brook any criticism or advice (see: Fat Sam's sacking). I don't expect them to be knocking around in the Premiership for too much longer.

I say that with no relish, I'm quite fond of the club and not just because they play in blue and white: but any player who picks them over us at this moment is being very badly advised, and choosing a glorious past over a glorious future. I'm sure we'll get him.

I hate Blackburn, Steve Kean is possibly the worst manager I think I have ever seen in the Premier League. When they asked Yakubu if he was looking forward to playing under Steve Kean on transfer deadline day he just looked very bemused. Vicente strikes me as an intelligent man, he will make the right choice.
