Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
Sorry but Wikipaedia must have that 'title' as anyone can apparently go on there and change the site details !

And anyone can make up a Twitter name and pretend to be a famous person or spread rumours, which is why some Twitter accounts are verified ie 12CMS12 is verified as CMS.

With the greatest respect, It doesn't matter what we believe Thunder Bolt. We may all believe its true or all believe its bullshit, but we do not know 100% for sure.

He or his agent (especially if we are baulking at paying agents fee?) may be talking to Blackburn as well. On the other hand there may have been no contact at all and it is all bullshit, the thing is what ever we wish for it/hope to be true or choose to believe, It won't change what is really happening, which frustratingly, none of us have a scooby do about.

But even still isnt that what forums etc are for, to discuss, speculate and share thoughts and opinions!!!!

Imagine if you will, you are the agent of Vicente, with a proven track record, if a little crocked in places, of proven football greatness. Along comes Brighton and our Gus, full of passion. Persuades the man to talk and even entertain a medical to prove fitness. I for one, if his agent, would want that knowledge public. Pass medical, on a free and available. I would advise Senor Vicente to wait 72hrs to see if any bigger clubs bite! Hold on to your hat. I want him, I hope we get him but, I fear!

If he'd rather play for Steve Kean in Blackburn than Gus here then he probably deserves to ...

That is the most logical, real world answer....... but who knows except those directly involved?

samej, I hope this isn't true, but I just have a feeling this is exactly it and you are spot on. Do we honestly believe not 1 single other club has called his agent and tried to grab him, it was reported he was wanted by a few clubs.

Realise he is happy to come to championship Brighton on a pay as you play and my guess is the agents phone will be ringing non stop. Its risk free to any premier league club.

My thoughts are shit bags up the road.. Southampton, they normally like to sniff around our signings or interests.

I'm with you so far.

Rubbish. It's not that I would put anything past an agent, but that charade would be totally unneccesary. Vicente woudn't have come over and had a medical just so that he could then look for other clubs. If he wanted clubs to fight for him it would have been simple to tell the media he'd love to come and play in England, and is on a free. It's not like the teams here haven't heard of him.

He may well go somewhere else, but I don't imagine that was part of the plan from the start.

FFS, that was 9 months ago!

9 months ago. Two new signings unveiled yesterday. Other clubs would have been fully aware of his situation so why did they not act before we did? All sounding like the Lua Lua saga. Today will be the day. We could end up as the laughing stock of The Championship but lets face that if it comes to it. Reminds me of when Bamber was tying up the Clough deal, two days lock away negotiating. Even if Vicente uses us as a platform to re-launch his career it will be fun whilst he's with us>
