I was told at the start of the season that the rumour within the 1st team squad was that Gus had only spent half his budget. However i was also told 'what do we know ? we know our own deals and can guess at some others'.

I suspect that there is probably less than 5 people who know what our 'budget' is and i can guarantee none of them post on here (or write in the argus)

but it is good fun speculating

Who says its the pitch?..only poyet,he should look closer to home about injuries......ie over training the players.

Poyet doesn't train the players re fitness. It the fitness coaches that do that, and if they say someone isnt fit enough to train, they do not train.

The science that goes into fitness training these day would suggest that over training is not the issue.

I dont see the pitch being the issue, as if it was surely CMS would have been f***ed ages ago, because no one puts in more miles and sprins than him.

I could just be down to a piss poor run of luck.

Yes he does, yes they did. Sam Allardyce claimed they offered 22k a week and were outbid by brighton

And Barry Fry confirmed that CMS signed for us on less money than West Ham or Leicester were offering because he liked Gus' plans for the future. Not only did he know what CMS was on at Posh, his daughter is living with Craig so he'd know what he was on here too. We do have a wage cap and for what it's worth, I believe empire more than anyone else on this thread because anything he has said about the club has been proved to be right.
