Apart from a massive pay rise and playing champions league football..
I bet Cucurella would be a bit sheepish at the first team meeting if he did go.
I'd like to think we would go all in and match what they're offering pay-wise.

How about for the 4 x salary, chance to work with elite players and CL football, without even having to move house or change his kids’ schools? No chance he’ll turn it down if offered, sadly.
I think you are spot on.
A failure at Chelsea will mean he is well down the list for another crack at that type of job.
He might well pick up another PL job, in fact I’d be surprised if he didn’t. But it certainly wouldn’t be as good as the one he has now, that’s for sure.
Also Potter is only a cog (all be it a very important one) in the machine at the Albion. He will be very aware of everything that has led him to being a success here, and he will know that to replicate it elsewhere he will need all of those elements.
Just read as well that their futile chase of Antony Gordon from everton was not wanted by Tuchel, but he had no say. Boehly is using some stats database to pick players.
Sounds like it's a bit of a basketcase place at the moment.
My big issue is they meet his buyout, and GP goes, just out of courtesy/ interest and if he then gets turned down or turns it down, how that may damage his current relationship with the players and the general 'together' mood.

I’ve absolute confidence that Bloom has a succession plan in place but no confidence that any of the available options are better or even equivalent.
This. Lots of talk about our succession planning but Potter is special. Managers like him don't grow on trees.

It’s over.
He’s the perfect fit for what Todd Boehly wants to do with the football club,
It’s too good an opportunity to turn down, unfortunately.
Given they spent £250m in the summer, if that was the case why not just do it then? Seems a bit of an odd strategy to wait 8 games then do it.
I don’t know if I am in denial but I just can’t get my head around a new manager. Hopefully TB and PB are more switched on than me. I’m sure they are. They will be annoyed and get on with it.
Horrible thought, what if Chelsea come for PB? Doesn’t bear thinking about.
Fear he'll probably go. Financially it will be life-changing, but probably not so good a move for his footballing career and reputation - maybe the money will compensate. Still, it's getting to be a bit of a Brighton thing - Cucu and Biss have no doubt upped their wages to an eye-watering amount, but footballing-wise they've gone to the wrong clubs. Think it might be the same for Potter if he goes to Chelsea.
Will he get to take Gimli the Dwarf and the rest of his coaching team with him?
Completely underwhelmed. Might as well stay here Graham old chap

Yeah, its a package deal, Potter comes with an assistant, a statistician and a recruitment man. No way he moves on without them, I wonder if Bloom mentioned the buy out clauses of £10M a piece for each of them to Chelsea?
