Or would make people not go at all?
So why didn't you go today then, if you were offered a free ticket? That's even cheaper than trying to get in as a kiddie.

Only the minority who would try to get in as a child/OAP.
What? What?
I complained that, instead of throwing out fans with a zero-tolerance policy (and potentially losing them in the long term), they should be made to pay up in order to get in, thus hopefully retaining the support, and also ensuring the club gets the correct revenue.
Fulfilling? Quite.
Did you go
I was 'offered' a free ticket at 2.30 - however not only would I have not got to Withdean until 3.15, but the ticket wasn't directly offered to me by the owner!
WARNING to any TICKET CHEATS out there
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the turnstyles there have been some people 'sneaking' in with Under-16 tickets and even SENIOR CITIZEN tickets (amazing!).
There's a crack-down on this, the operators are now going to be more aware and watchful - and WHEN YOU GET CAUGHT WITH THE WRONG TICKET YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR MONEY because you will be turned away.
No, you cannot simply come out with an excuse about "a tout who sold you the ticket outside" or that you are taking the place of a family member and didn't realise.
No exceptions - you will not get in, and you will be wasting money and time trying it on.
It IS ripping off the club, and complaints about ticket price don't distract from that.
Identities will be checked, and even those people who look 'close' to the right age, should think about proving they qualify!!
Be warned - and tell anyone you know who thinks they can get away with it because they have done in the past.
Thanks - and well done for the general support today - the atmosphere was excellent today
Here?
For crying out loud THINK will you?
A WRONG TICKET is only "WRONG" after you have had the chance to excess it, and have been warned.
A lad got turned away last week after presenting a WRONG TICKET, perhaps because he lied and said it was from a tout, when a quick check revealed that SEVERAL were bought, and the purchaser lived at the same address as the holder - so it was NOT a "tout ticket".
Every and any person holding an Under 16 concession ticket that does not apply to them (because they are older than 16!) has the opportunity to go and get it upgraded!
People do go and do it all the time, they pay the excess - while on the other hand, there are some who DO seek to try getting away with not paying the correct price.
Which ones do YOU want to encourage??
I know which ones the club want to encourage!
You though, seem CONFUSED. :thud:

You are Wrong with a capital W.
I discussed this matter with senior stewards, had the nod from them AND the ticket office, who I also discussed this with.
You seem to have been discussing a 'briefing matter' already - and without knowledge that I was REQUESTED to work the turnstyle TODAY, but had to turn it down because I was asked elsewhere to work Director's hospitality (not an area without a little responsibility and standard, wouldn't you agree?)
Nice work though, both of you.
Is this "oneupmanship" in the world of the fluorescent jacket wearers? Is there more kudos in supervising the toilets of the moderately wealthy than in scrutinising the ticket stubs of the bewarted, foul-smelling general public?
Do you have to say "sit down" in a nicer tone of voice? Do you have to smell nicer and be more presentable to work in the freeloaders' section?

I hate people who take their jobs to seriously and take their work home with them. Unless you're jobs of some importance then theres no point, your not going to make any difference to world. And a steward has no any importance what so ever, infact its a SHIT job. They just get to feel important for a couple of hours every other week by telling people to sit down and threatening to chuck them out. I cant stand them.
