I thought he was immense. Not sure if it's true, but Jnr Bobkin said Traore is the quickest player in the PL...

He doesn't do anything........apart from scare the bejesus out of defenders and get three to mark him letting the other strikers sneak in and score

Did I go to a different game? Yes he is blistering fast and looks very strong but he really delivered nothing during the game - so all smoke and no substance. On Talks**t ‘‘tis morning they did compare the job we did on him to that done on Zaha by Watford, so good job by Dan Burn. Alzate looks great but he is not a fullback - looks out of position a few times. Also felt Jimenez was getting too much free space in box by Webster

Dunk seemed pretty adamant that he'd won the ball for that one.

It was probably for the best that the ref didn't book Burn however, as he picked up a booking (that would have been his second) not too long after.

Traore's pace was exceptional, but it always has been. In common with a lot of speed merchants though, he rarely has any end product of note after the running fast bit which, frankly, is why he's playing for Wolves.

That said, he is still only 23, so if he can be coached into producing a bit more, he'd be a truly frightening prospect.

Liverpool supposedly interested in him, I could see why, like others have posted he is the most dangerous player outside the top 3 or 4 teams I’ve seen at our place for a long time.

Traore is very quick with no end product unlike both Townsend and Zaha in our next game. I dread to think what they will do against Webster and Burn, I dont think the prospects are good.

Different Jota. The one that played for Brentford went to Birmingham under Harry Redknapp and is still there I think.

Then moved to Villa with Gary Gardner going the other way.

Don't get the criticism of Traore.I thought we struggled against him,and it unbalanced the team.

2-2 at home to Wolves in the PL, who may finish top 6, ain’t the worst result is it?!! Blimey, remember losing at ‘home’ with less than a 1000 watching. Now that was depressing! Anyway, good side Wolves and you know what...so are we!

I thought we dealt with him really well. While him running full pelt is quite a sight he didn’t really achieve anything in terms of getting off good shots or creating chances.

I'm not criticising him - he's fearsome when he's heading towards goal in full flight and it clearly scared the shit out of us.

However his career, to date at least, has been full of those moments with very little at the end of them.

But, you're right - there's probably more to this than mere numbers. Because he scares the shit out of opposing defenders, that will undoubtedly provide opportunities for his teammates.

He was heavily marked, Burn got loads of support from Mooy etc, but you can’t leave several players on him all the time, it would create space elsewhere and stop our progressive play. Traore created zero Wolves goals.

Jota on the other wing, by contrast, had the freedom of the Amex to destroy Alzate and Webster. Which cost us dearly and could easily have led to more Wolves goals.

I agree re Jota, he had far too much time and room, and we just couldn't cope with his uns. As food as Alzate was against Arsenal, he was relatively poor yesterday, and it was fairly evident he was being played out of position.

We really do need another experienced right back to push Martin Montoya for a starting place. By the way where was Schellotto yesterday?

I thought Traore had an excellent game. it's not often that individual opposition players make an impression on me but his ability to emerge with the ball despite being double or even triple-teamed was quite something.

It is testament to Burn and Mooy that they coped as well as they did, with a particular mention to Mooy who deservedly won Man Of The Match. If Solly had been playing left midfield I fancy he might have been able to cope defensively with Traore but we wouldn't have got much out of him going forward. This says more about what a quality player Mooy looks than any criticism of Solly.

Indeed, I look forward to Solly's return and will be interested to see how Potter uses him; as a supersub with licence to dribble and minimal defensive duties I think he could blossom.

Genuine question. I was at Priestfield when we lost to Barnet with just over 1000 there but can’t remember ever getting less than 1000. Which match are you referring to?

I liked Jota when he played for Brentford, and hoped we could get him for Brighton. I was relieved, yesterday, when he was subbed, as I thought he might get a hat trick.

Same here, relieved to see the back of him. He really did outclass and outpace Alzate and Webster from the very start. Horrible to watch as an Albion fan, if only there was a solution, before the damage was done.

The same could have been achieved by using Bernardo instead of Burn as he is much quicker than Burn and also a natural full back.
