I thought he was immense. Not sure if it's true, but Jnr Bobkin said Traore is the quickest player in the PL...
Dunk seemed pretty adamant that he'd won the ball for that one.
It was probably for the best that the ref didn't book Burn however, as he picked up a booking (that would have been his second) not too long after.
Traore's pace was exceptional, but it always has been. In common with a lot of speed merchants though, he rarely has any end product of note after the running fast bit which, frankly, is why he's playing for Wolves.
That said, he is still only 23, so if he can be coached into producing a bit more, he'd be a truly frightening prospect.
Trossard is far betterLiverpool supposedly interested in him, I could see why, like others have posted he is the most dangerous player outside the top 3 or 4 teams I’ve seen at our place for a long time.
Different Jota. The one that played for Brentford went to Birmingham under Harry Redknapp and is still there I think.
Don't get the criticism of Traore.I thought we struggled against him,and it unbalanced the team.
He was heavily marked, Burn got loads of support from Mooy etc, but you can’t leave several players on him all the time, it would create space elsewhere and stop our progressive play. Traore created zero Wolves goals.
Jota on the other wing, by contrast, had the freedom of the Amex to destroy Alzate and Webster. Which cost us dearly and could easily have led to more Wolves goals.
2-2 at home to Wolves in the PL, who may finish top 6, ain’t the worst result is it?!! Blimey, remember losing at ‘home’ with less than a 1000 watching. Now that was depressing! Anyway, good side Wolves and you know what...so are we!
I liked Jota when he played for Brentford, and hoped we could get him for Brighton. I was relieved, yesterday, when he was subbed, as I thought he might get a hat trick.
I thought Traore had an excellent game. it's not often that individual opposition players make an impression on me but his ability to emerge with the ball despite being double or even triple-teamed was quite something.
It is testament to Burn and Mooy that they coped as well as they did, with a particular mention to Mooy who deservedly won Man Of The Match. If Solly had been playing left midfield I fancy he might have been able to cope defensively with Traore but we wouldn't have got much out of him going forward. This says more about what a quality player Mooy looks than any criticism of Solly.
Indeed, I look forward to Solly's return and will be interested to see how Potter uses him; as a supersub with licence to dribble and minimal defensive duties I think he could blossom.
