FFS, I don't really see what the point is anymore of these strikes. The government is on its arse and could possibly call an election this week. What is anyone gaining from this, they aren't going to offer terms, so what is the point?

Quite. This is a problem that Labour will inherit.

In the meantime, someone needs to tell these over-paid money grubbers to get back to work and actually earn their £65k PA.

A new law has been passed since the last strike about minimum service levels, I don't know the exacts on what service will actually run but its required to be at least 40%. How the DfT will deal with that when companies say they don't have enough drivers to cover that I don't know at this moment.

Interesting. Will make a decision last minute I guess. Even from my place in north London it takes 3 bus changes to get to the stadium. So that won't be worth it.

Its new territory, the law is there, but regardless I have no idea where you would get drivers not striking from.

Overtime ban on the day of the Palace game though. Last month for the Burnley game when an overtime ban was in place there were no trains after 1700 east of Eastbourne for example.

Another redundant law brought in by the Tory’s.

Designed to give the impression they are doing something.

Strikers gonna strike. No rail staff are going to break a strike in order to provide minimum service.

Sussex but not by the sea
I can see Sussex Police and the Met having a view on this for 3rd Feb, they are going to want assurances from the TOCs that they can run a match day service that will accommodate getting that lot in and out of Falmer. They better not f***ing postpone this as a result.
