I went to see From the Jam the other week and Malice was pretty early in the set. The end of the encore was Going Underground.

I always had Town Called Malice as the best Jam song, closely followed by Going Underground. Now I have seen a few articles suggesting I am wrong.

Over to you NSC, what do you think.
I wasn't going to give options for others but perhaps I should for all you hipsters.

Now I feel like I have ruined my own question.
Wot no Strange Town? ??? Boooooo...

I've always thought Strange Town was their best. I also had Going Underground pretty high. Town Called Malice is alright, i mean its not bad, but I always thought it was a bit over rated.

Tubestation for me.
But then All Mod Cons is my favourite Jam album so I've probably listened to it more.

Never saw The Jam live, I have seen 'From the Jam' 4 times and based on that I would say The Eton Rifles especially when performed at Concorde 2....,

Just fantastic. I would probably have voted for GU just ahead of TCM BUT I remembered the first time I heard the opening chords of In The City and I was hooked from then on - an awesome debut single and still full of energy nearly 50 years later - Good God where has that time flown!

Thought my vote would go to Going Underground but after listening to all of them, Eton Rifles just blew me away.
Lucky enough to have seen them 4 times including the very last one at the Centre.

That last gig was odd. I remember queuing from stupid o'clock and then when the ticket office opened, there wasn't any need. Great occasion though

Impossible to choose! Favourites are Fly and Wasteland. From that list, Bitterest Pill (or Going Underground)
I can't read music and I've not got a clue about playing guitar or piano - sadly. BUT, I can play the piece on Wasteland on the recorder :ROFLMAO: ... great song.

Just Who is the Five O’clock Hero gets my vote as favourite Jam song.

That’s Entertainment, Strange Town, Going Underground and Town Called Malice all give it a good run, that said, there are just so many great songs the Jam put out, hard to pick a second favourite .

The Jam did so many great songs and from the list it would be In the City. However, for my personal favourite, I’m struggling to separate ‘A’ bomb in Wardour Street and Burning Sky from Setting Sons.
