That reads like Spurs are the "whinging bunch". Surely you meant that the other way round. The last North London derby just as one example, Wenger whinged from the rooftops, and the cheek to have a go at anyone for using an "I did not see it" was just ludicrous.

I couldn't give a shit about either club, but I definitely wanted Spurs to do it today. Robinson, Carrick, Dawson, Gardner, King, Lennon and Defoe. At least Spurs invest in young English players.

I'm not a Spurs fan, but today is the sort of day they will hold a grudge about for years. The one, and who knows maybe only, chance of getting in the Champions League has been scuppered in very bizarre circumstances.

Let's just deal with the 'whining' first. If Spurs had been allowed to play their game later, the bleatings from Wenger and Dein would have been heard on the moon.

Spurs' preparations for a vital game have been badly disrupted. Jol has not had a free hand on what team to pick, and some of those that were may not have been well enough to start in a less important game.

If any of you know real Everton fans in their 30s plus, they will tell you in private they are still livid Liverpool fans at Heysel cost them the chance to pit their best ever team in the European Cup in 1985/6 and 1987/8.

Spurs fans will always now feel their bid has been sabotaged, in the same way All Blacks fans do about the 1995 World Cup final.

We all know you shar a love of Spurs but you don't need to make your close relationship quite as blatant as you do.
