Let’s face it, Potter very rarely gets it wrong but tonight tactics and team selection are not great.

I also can’t believe that years into our PL tenure I’m still thinking March isn’t anywhere near a PL player. He brings so little to the team (and this is among a team bursting with so much quality and potential). Why not just play one of our hot young prospects? Utterly baffled.

That was a pretty good chance for Moder. Should have got it on target. Perfectly set up. Maupay had a decent chance too.
Having said that Spurs have largely nullified us and we look clearly second best.

I think we have nullified ourselves moving Cucurella to CB and not allowing cover for Lamptey. Clearly a FU from Webster as well.

Has Muzza had a hair transplant?

Looking thicker on top than I remember!

I don't see it like that, Cucu is not in a back 3. Iooks a mess to me: Lamptey and Cucu trying to get forward and March, Gross trying to cover for them. To me it's a mess. I'd bring on Veltman to make a true back 3, then Lamptey and Cucu can play as true wing backs...IMO like

Literally the exact words I just said to my brother.

That deflected second goal seems to have done for us, outplayed since. Anyone remember the last time we got a deflected goal? I don’t

Tough call to come back from this now.

As an aside March hasn’t got a clue, he needs to stop fecking about and just cross the ball.

Lamptey has shown NOTHING either

It doesn't excuse the fact Hairy Porter got it all wrong and we've been utter gash

Are we utter gash as the players aren't comfortable? Or because theyre all having an off day?

HP is a 45 minute manager, still. Rarely gets it right for a whole game. Too many changes, especially in defence, against opportunist winners like Harold the cheat.

Veltman on to make a back 3
Welbeck on to make a front 2
Neither will happen at half time though I guess

One world class finish & a spawny one. Keep the faith. We get one back - we’ll draw. As always.

That's the problem. Cucurella having a poor game has left March exposed, don't get me wrong, Solly has been struggling anyway but so has everyone.
People will blame March for Websters mistake as well. Quicker transition could turn the spuds but it's all too predictable

This is the sort of situation where I’d like to get Caicedo on. Maybe for Lallana after 60 minutes. Welbeck for Gross and Veltman for March at half time. If it’s still 2-0 at 60 minutes we have nothing to lose.

And to be honest - Webster messed up for the first goal and Kane was brilliant.
March defended well for second goal and it was a total fluke.
However they have been dangerous all the half because our set up isn’t good.
It could be 1-0 and all to play for. A bit harder now so make changes!

March really a weak point, NEVER crosses first time (and Spurs know it) and often just getting in the way of Cucarella.

Much of the time he gets into reasonable position but you just know nothing will come of it….

.

Unfortunately when he leaves us his "school report" will state that

Are spuds really 2 nil better than us?? obviously the score says so but to me its a gift and the jammiest goal of the season.
Tariq hasn't really got into the game yet, Solly really should try to take the guy on every now and again, what's the worst that can happen??
Definitely need to get the next goal

The fella ran in straight line for the second no defending March there. Cucurella is not a CB ridiculous from GP.
