If it was one game then it wouldn't be an issue - but it comes on the back of draws at home to WBA and away to a poor Palace team (and 3 losses in the other 4 games). In reality Brighton have played one good game in seven - and that just isn't good enough.

Sorry mate. Utter rubbish. I'd reset those expectations a little bit

Shambolic on our part but not at all surprising. Just a sigh and a roll of the eyes for me as Bale headed in with acres of space around him 6 yards out

Lets not be too harsh on Webby.

To me, that was a quality goal. They attacked at pace. That makes it harder for the defence to get set.

Personally I'm much happier losing out to a proper football goal than another VAR monstrosity

The camera looking straight along the edge of the box clearly showed Kane standing on the 18 yard line when he was fouled and therefore ‘inside’ the box. It was a penalty, unfortunately.

Doesn’t matter where he’s standing!!! Totally irrelevant - it’s where the foul is - ie the contact! Basic football knowledge that. It was either just on the line or just outside - incredibly hard to tell and neither clear nor obvious.

0.71 points per game. That's relegation form. Whatever way you rinse it. (27 total)

I don't want to go down, but results have to improve fast.

There are no points for style or possession.

WBA aside, have you seen who we have played so far? And how we have played? Your analysis could have been done by any third technician on board the mining ship Red Dwarf with a copy of the TV Times showing the latest league tables. ???

Took the Spurs win....posted odds before match...paid for Burnley’s PPV lol

I was concerned btw, but I knew our defence would screw it up again.

Plus I’m playing with part of the profits I made back in the summer.

Indeed. Another pundit assessing performance by looking at the league tables.

Incidentally, I can't see the Spuds ownership putting up with Maureen's gash unless they win the PL this season. Percentage football is fine at Burnley, but....

And I love the way we do it. Even if we lose, because in the long term we will win.

He actually stood still to head it in, which is unforgivable on our part.

What you want (if your one of those who's been following us a while) is to have a team we can be proud of.

We have that.

We had a bit of a shocker against WBA, but apart from that, every game our team can walk off the pitch with our heads held high.

Yes, maybe the boys won't find enough goals to stay up, but in football games are won, games are lost. Teams are relegated, teams are promoted. We have a club to support, which many thousands may not in 6 months time

Very frustrating that we kept Kane and Son so quiet but then gifted Bale a free header. We just can’t put in a gritty defensive shift for the whole of a game.

Oh, and aftertiming about winning a bet you made against your own team on the internet[emoji2357]Where’s Ernest when you need him?

You’re spot on about us. If even go as far as second half v West Brom and first half v Everton as our 2 really poor halves of football. Out of 14 halves that’s a bloody good return. I was so pleasantly surprised at how we turned the game around after a poor first 10 today sitting back. Just seem to be in all our games and playing proper football too. I’m enjoying it, just not the VAR and ref decisions that have undoubtedly gone against us so far this season.

Onto the next one. Got a good chance of points. And no, it’s not a ‘must win’ - some were stupidly saying that before West Brom yet we’re still here fighting with 31 games to go oddly!

I like Weststander and LamieRobertson a lot on here but just don’t get the betting against the Albion thing. Just couldn’t ever do it , even winning a grand wouldn’t feel like a win...!

I went through a gambit of emotions tonight, from expectant, to despondent and eventually; resigned... all prompted by a particularly challenging episode of the number blocks.

10, 10, 10 again.

When I turned my thoughts to the big match, I had a feeling that 350k a week Gareth would ultimately drive a massive stake through my heart, you know, a diamond encrusted pimped up stake with quasi-futuristic lights... it was inevitable, akin to our plucky low budget freebie endevour ending in agonising defeat.

Yet, when I eat my breakfast I can take pride that our manager works so well with what we have and that a young GK played so well against such overwhelming odds... when you consider that one player, a player who came of the bench, probably earns the sum total of our annual wage budget in a mere few months... well... it's frankly astounding that they stumbled so on their way to victory...

a victory, that must surely feel hollow when you consider the universal gap (gulf) between our clubs.

Insurance, eases the pain. Plus just another cold bet, I couldn’t believe that the bookies were so generous.

Has no influence on real world proceedings.
