Sad to say it will be many seasons before we will be competing for promotion again.

The whole team basically needs to be scrapped and a proper rebuild started in January.

What's the point in waiting till Saturday??? Even if we were to win there, it's still only delaying the obvious. Sammi Hyypia is not the man to take this club forward and that has nothing to do with losing tonight. Get rid tonight, as every day counts.
I agree although sammy isn't the only one that needs to go to be fair...We can't blame everything on him while others escape the wrath of the albion supporters.
Plenty have to take responsibility for the failure this season👍

I hop e YOU get sacked!

Oh please spare me the mock outrage, im sure Samis already healthy bank balance from his well paid years as a top player and a sizeable payoff following his utter comprehensive failure as a manager here will help soften the blow.

Actually, to be fair, if i was as inept and incompetent at my job as Hyppia appears to be at his then I imagine I would be sacked and deservedly so.

Only positives were that we kept it to 2-0, the defence managed well, Walton looked comfortable, Dunk another great game.

Due to lots of things I haven't seen the Albion since Derby last season. No comparison we are completely toothless lacked desire and it will be a struggle this season if we don't change things very quickly.

Well then for saturday. Bring Maccer on at half time for KLL, and start Walton! Give the lad a chance.

What on earth were you expecting!

Oh dunno a performance filled with passion, where we had a go at Spurs...you know like we did against arsenal a couple of years ago. We may as well have gone for it tonight but it was as boring as hell, it was like we were playing for penalties from the first minute.

Many cup competitions has shocks and upsets as you know.

Some serious over reaction on here and the texts on BBC Radio Sussex. We were beaten by Spurs not Canvey Island :lolol:

FT 2-0. No shame in the result imo. Maybe start CMS on Saturday for another try. And somebody else instead of KLL.

That's the bigger problem, for all the criticism on here about Sami et al, we don't anyone who looks like scoring. If I had a choice between changing the manager or swapping CMS and few others I'd go for the latter.

I never thought Sami's job would be on the line for a Cup game, unless we got utterly humiliated. So I suspect he will be around for a while yet.

However Saturday's league game is critical. Receive a battering and it could well be taxi time. I suspect the clock is ticking. Avoid defeat on Saturday and gain a handful of points over the next two or three games might save Sami. Bloom knows that we urgently need some upward momentum. It's not just about a lack of goals and points but also the cumulative effect of our form on confidence within the squad.

It will be good to have Baldock and CMS available. I hope Stephens is fit soon, so he can bring competition in midfield and allow the disappointing Gardner to go back to Villa.

Ah losing at Spurs was always expected. Looking ahead to our next opponents Bournemouth, beating West Brom yesterday and smashing Birmingham 8-0 at the weekend. It's all set up for Albion win Shirley....?
