It really is unbelievable this complete nobody ever qualified to be Prime Minister. The pouring rain, the Wales own goal and the obvious Tory plants in the audience .........or perhaps it is a cunning plan to make us feel sorry for him.

The average local councillor on the hustings prepares and performs better than this. Whatever happened to the slick days of Saatchi and Saatchi

He won't shake the image of him standing there in the pouring rain - it finished him off before he even started, it screamed Loser

Was looking at some of the local Worthing Facebook groups comments in response to the East and West Worthing Labour candidates request to " Take a Survey " on what matters to local people.

Bit shocked by some of the hatred and ignorance to be honest. All the Prime Ministerial candidate's are quite " Safe " in terms of their adherence to democratic values, in that, they are not going to become dictators overnight if elected but ..reading the comments, some people have been utterly polarised to rabid levels.

I'm not sure whoever wins will be able to unite our country and bring back any form of normality. It must be remembered that no one can agree with every party/candidates policies, views or governing intentions, you pick your individual " least worst " candidate when you vote. I fear we are already too broken and divided to ever be united back to a level of common sense and tolerance, that's if some of the comments and replies from ordinary people are to be believed.

On top of the world
John Redwood is the latest Tory MP standing down (thank goodness) making it 75 now.
They’re all running away from the inevitable storm that’s coming.
He's our MP, previously unbeatable in a true blue area, with the arrogance to go with it, but he clearly knows his number is up this time. Rats and sinking ships come to mind.

The local demographic has shifted a lot recently with several big new housing estates bringing in younger people, families, and a diversity of nationalities; the traditional Tory voters have been much diluted. We may still need a Lib Dem/Labour 'pact', though, as the last election saw the non-Tory vote split.

Michael Gove has announced he will not stand at the general election, bringing the number of Conservative MPs quitting the Commons instead of standing to 77, beating the previous record of 72 from 1997.

Gove not standing, another proud Tory who has realised that " Standing on our Record in Government " is a suicide note. They can't fool the populace any more..Good effing riddance.
