This thread was well-named by TomandJerry back in early December 2021. This is a complete and utter meltdown at the heart of our government and governing party the like and scale of which we have never seen before and are unlikely to ever see again. Seemingly, Johnson is determined to go down leaving utter carnage in his wake.

Yep. Looks like the 22 will ease the rules and there will be another confidence vote. Only then will Johnson leave. And even then I suspect he will go with much the same good grace as Trump went.

If it was a wind up it’s piss poor … but it wasn’t. You clearly don’t as you have already stated that you voted for Brexit without a thought to implementation and the dangers of letting an idiot do it. If fact you had a minor flounce ….

I really didn’t. I went to work. I am still not engaging with this argument as I will continue to make my own points and respond to others as I choose rather than on demand. Much like everyone else. The trouble is on this issue people feel entitled to their aggressive demands. I am happy to continue correcting a few misconceptions from people such as yourself on this particular part of the issue. Keep going.

I’m wondering if Johnson could bring some sympathetic lords in to take the roles. Didn’t Blair have a lord in his cabinet?

Lord Adonis I believe you're referring to. The odd one or two is not unknown, but multiple would raise eyebrows.

I think that to be fair it is quite reasonable to be very cross about the process that delivered us Johnson and a half-arsed Brexit. Of course Brexit is half-arsed. The NI agreement was always unworkable, and it can't be magicked away. And it is quite reasonable for people to be angry about this. Angry we were lied to. Flippant comments about not being required to defend one's self on a message board that one has voluntarily decided to engage with, when it suits, is also likely to make people annoyed. So it goes

Doesn’t bother me. I am not flippant. I am just dealing with very entitled characters with a different opinion. The difference is that I don’t demand they answer my questions. It’s their own fault that people will not engage with them. Happy to keep pointing this out.

You mean PPF and the football lad’s alliance showing up to parliament to show their support for their hero next week during the 1922’s second vote of no confidence?

I thought he had made it clear that leaving utter carnage in his wake WAS his election plan back in 2020

Lord Lebedev

Reporter: Is it true that you've brought Lord Lebedev into the cabinet as Foreign Minister?
Johnson: Nope
Reporter: Isn't that him right there behind you going into the cabinet office?
Johnson: No. He's not part of the cabinet
Reporter: But he has a lanyard on saying cabinet Minister for the Foreign Office?
Johnson: No he doesn't. He's in the room but not part of the office
Reporter: Hang on, he's just tweeted that he's delighted to be appointed to the foreign office?
Johnson: Ah, yes. I was aware, but had forgotten
Reporter: So he is Foreign Minister?
Johnson: Well, yes. I've said that all along
Reporter: So you lied?
Johnson: Look, I can only apologise. It was a mistake and I've learned my lesson
Reporter: But he's just resigned and confirmed emailing all UK War strategy to Putin?
Johnson: As I said, I've apologised and the country just wants to move on and get on with business
Reporter: But... Surely
Dorries: BACK OFF!!! HE GETS ALL THE BIG DECISIONS RIGHT!!!!

:lolol:

The football lads' alliance. Now that's a potent political force, if ever I saw one.

Johnson does not give two shits. He's being grilled by a committee and simply spaffing and smirking. Extraordinary stuff. Shameful stuff.

He’ll refuse to accept the no confidence vote and will trigger a GE. That’ll give the British public another chance to elect a Tory Government. Remember, Starmer’s boring and you can’t trust him or Labour with the economy, unlike dodgy Dave (Brexit enabler), Theresa (I make Kier look like Louis Spence) May and charlatan Blow Job - the most insidious, incompetent, narcissist, lying **** ever to hold the office of PM. For Fucx Sake
