Still, on reflection, I suppose when the PM is a former leading light of the Bullingdon Club who prided themselves on trashing restaurants and calling waiting staff “plebs” what else should we expect?

Perhaps we should regard lockdown parties in No:10 that featured suitcases full of booze, vomiting, wine up the walls and staff being told to “**** off” as just high jinx? And what’s wrong the then Foreign Secretary and now Prime Minister receiving oral sex in his office from a party official? How about appointing a drunken sex pest as Deputy Chief Whip? Why not? Let’s just move on.

Pincher was drunk as a Lord, it seems.

Probably ruined his chances of becoming one now, mind.

There's beginning to be some talk that PIncher will have to resign as MP: that would be an interesting by-election. For one thing, there's the obvious symbolic importance of Tamworth to the Conservatives, losing it would be like the ravens leaving the Tower.

Secondly, the LibDems are way behing Labour in the seat, so if the Tories are defeated, then Labour will have to attract the floating voters and Tory defectors. It's not as big a majority as Tiverton/Honiton but it will be a big ask for Labour to win it.

If there is a by-election and Labour do win it, then Johnson's toast - but those are two big ifs.

But unless he has broken any rule....

This is the problem, the current administration had stuck two fingers up to what someone would have thought the "right thing to do" in the past.

Johnson and his cronies have exposed (probably helpfully in the long term) the weaknesses in our system and how it can be taken over.

It need modernising.

‘Rules’ vs ‘moral code’ and ‘behaviour expected of a public official’……….it’s a disgrace.

Despicable and depraved. Blaming alcohol is incredibly weak. So many bad apples. An obvious entrenched culture of drug and alcohol abuse and sexual misconduct. We are an embarrassment.

I can't help but read that in a 'surprised' tone.

Sorry for the misrepresentation, of course nobody is surprised :lolol:

He's been toast for months but refuses to leave the toaster!

Just incase you’re not caught up with this week’s shower of Tory shit…

I am sure he has missed a couple of things, the descriptions did make me smile, which is welcome as generally I get depressed reading the constant flow of sleaze, ineptitude and lies. My personal favourite - "Criticising two people occupying one space is a bit rich from Shapps, who has more identities than Jason Bourne (who people also travel halfway round the world just to punch)"

The whole system is rotten, not unlike the fabled US one as its Supreme Court is currently demonstrating while the Senate has been doing so for decades.
This isn't just about Johnson, and it's not even just about the Tories. With a bit of luck, Indy Yes might finally wake England up. It doesn't necessarily have to take a jolt like that, but I suspect it will.

...and hoping to return to political life.

Sexual abusers should seek medical attention. Sanctioned by a court. And should not be allowed in proximity of vulnerable people whom they have abused before and are likely to abuse again. They should also face criminal charges and sign the sex offender's register for life.

So he's facing no consequences. Great. Well done, Johnson. Another winner. I don't suppose the Metropolitan Peerlease will be investigating.

Hmmm....I don't think Johnson is remotely toast until he has lost the next GE, and even then it may take a majority loss of a confidence vote by his own MPs to oust him. And they have proven already they are a bunch of craven shitters. So I'm not holding my breath. Merely my nose.

The government’s official spending watchdog is to launch an inquiry into Boris Johnson’s claim that 40 new hospitals will be built by 2030, as concerns grow in Whitehall that the pledge is unaffordable and has been greatly oversold to the public.

In a move that could prove hugely embarrassing for the prime minister, the independent National Audit Office (NAO) has decided to conduct a “value for money review” into the entire scheme, which was a cornerstone of the Conservative party’s 2019 general election manifesto.

Johnson will just shrug it off and claim that left leaning miserablists are thwarting the will of the people. And 33% of the electorate will lap that up.

Fie upon the electorate and their weakness for 'charisma'.

However... we always get the governments we deserve. If the people prefer jack the lad over dull old Starmer, so be it. Afterwards I shall sit quietly and snigger at all the poorly-off people who have put their faith in Johnson and find themselves struggling. A fool and his vote . . . .

I'm getting more angry about this.

He admits groping, not just one but two people (their gender does not matter, but I wonder what the situation would have been if..). A criminal offence and sexual one at that. Assault. That will be investigated by the Tories themselves. Not the Met.

Why haven't the true victims complained to the police and investigations made? One might surmise.

Because right now the victim appears to be poor ol'Chris. A self-confessed perv and predator - allegedly - just needing a little medical guidance before resuming his job of representing his constituents.

He and the Buffoon, are no longer servants, but masters.

Begone

I read recently that MPs in constituencies that stood to benefit from this ‘policy’ have been making enquiries regarding progress. Surprise surprise - 3 years after the election pledge, nothing has been done.
