6 officers in one station disciplined/dismissed or resigned in just one station and you think its funny.

I find it amusing that because people didn’t get the result they wanted they are crying corruption.

It was always a bad idea for the police to get involved as there was a chance this could happen with all the evidence

The Sue Gray report would have finished him.

One fine should be enough, but it won’t be because it was assumed he would get many more.

You see KZN, Twitter providing a fact.

On both occasions using video evidence, great.
Wild speculation dressed up as fact, not so great. I believe Laura Kuenssberg fell foul of that too often. MP's reading Twitter in the commons and standing up asking questions without verifying the source. That's what I hate.
Twitter is a tool with too many tools on it for me.

It's a bit pathetic. What they're complaiing about is that Javid's brother is a policeman. That's all. If they want the PM's office investigated, and then they don't like the result so they want the investigating department investigated, then it's hardly a surprise if they eventually get to someone related to someone in the House.

Wasn't Cressida Dick forced out for failing to deal with corruption?

Just to add, the other Assistant Police Commissioner who was investigating the parties is Helen Ball, who is Cressida Dick's partner.

No, no corruption at all.

Bas Javid is not a policeman in as much as he worked his way up.

Police commissioners may be experienced police officers, though some are politically appointed, or elected civilians; not sworn police officers. In such cases, usually a professional chief of police is in charge of day-to-day operations. In either event, commissioners are the designated heads of the organization

I am not sure corruption played a part in this investigation, I think it is possible but unlikely. However, if a decision from the Police looks to be absurd, people will want an explanation, some, like me, will believe that he has dodged a second one on a technicality, that being he did not leave his home to attend a gathering, the gathering came to him, others will believe they can smell a whiff of corruption. What no one believes is that he was not in attendance at any more illegal gatherings.

Hhmm, think you may be confusing the role with that of a Police and Crime Commissioner.

Bas Javid certainly was a serving police officer, with the West Midlands Police Force and latterly with the MPS, unless he has stood down very recently!

Yes I realised my mistake which was why I put edited for accuracy and added his LinkedIn.

We only have Downing Street's statement that Johnson didn't get another fine. Just in case there is anybody left for whom the penny has yet to drop - JOHNSON LIES!!

Go out and enjoy the sunshine, you will feel a lot better than sitting on your device all after trawling the internet for stuff to post on here like a social media addicted teenager [emoji120]

I'm sure TB will follow your instructions to the letter.

You might want to consider that people are online for any number of reasons. Bored at work like me but more often because they may be medically housebound or are carers and forums like this are their conduit for communication and conversation. It's fine to disagree but no need to be a rude ********.

A lesbian couple named Ball and Dick - what are the chances of that?!?
