That is all he is banking on, deny, delay, postpone, lie, find a loophole and repeat.

I agree, but I have mixed feelings about him going at the moment as he is an absolute asset to opposition Parties!

The sad truth is he will just continue getting away with it. Even the opposition have shown they are powerless to do anything about the fact he is a proven liar, has been caught out many times breaking the rules and probably the law.

We all know the truth of what has happened but how does anyone do anything about it as nobody has managed it thus far. Give it a few days and he will weather the storm and it will be back to groundhog day.

The only hope is that his own party turn on him but does anyone believe his successor will be any more honest. Its a complete never ending shitshow

It seems that the Civil service at Westminster level is a cluster**** and possibly always was. Not to detract from the colour of rosette the boss wears.

I'd wager that the vast majority of business where their workforce couldn't work at home weren't having a piss up the car park after work.

Ditto. Myself and Mrs V viewed any meeting situation as potentially risky either because of the potential for catching the virus or for breaking the rules or the spirit of the rules.

Let's face it, it isn't just the Conservative Party and the PM it's the political establishment that surrounds them.

It's culture of self entitlement and unaccountability that unfortunately pervades the higher echelons of the public sector. When it goes wrong they think it's normal to investigate themselves.

Previous Conservative Governments have fought against it, but this lot clearly fit well in and encourage the behaviour.

If Johnson manages to cling on and others fall on their sword, at least some rot has been cleaned out. The electorate can deal with the MPs.

We shall see (who was round the dinner table on the 25th Dec 2020 as yet to be fully explained), but I predict the local elections will be interesting in May.

But they won't though. As can be seen the polls (and the comments on here) there are large numbers of people who will vote Tory no matter how bad they are. There's a solid residue of support that Labour doesn't have and with the boundary changes coming through, I'm sure there'll be no change and the rot will continue

They are up to all sorts of shit, taking over the electoral commission, voter ID to discriminate against the poor, jerrymandering the constituency’s.

It going to be hard to get them out. Another term of this lot and we will see irreversible damage to our nation

I’m not sure.

The Sun and Express are standing firmly behind the PM but it’s obvious that the educated Tory classes who read the Times and Telegraph have had enough.

Mr Johnson has a groundswell of support from people of a limited capacity, people who’d made their minds up at the last election and won’t change their minds through stubbornness and a lack of wit, even if Johnson were to shat on their doorsteps.

So that leaves us with what is to follow. The parties scandal is over now but there is probably so much more to come, even then, I think Mr Johnson will command a sizeable support. It would be amazing if he could battle through, so many Tories believe there will be a bounce back, let’s see.
