Regarding Sue Gray;

According to the BBC;

“It was also reported that she had advised staff on how to destroy emails with a "double-deletion" to stop information becoming public through Freedom of Information requests.
Under British law, information held by public authorities (such as the government) must be made available to the public. It's something that journalists often use when they're working on stories about these authorities and what they've been up to.”

The most curious thing..
Best quote I have heard today about the whole sordid business

"It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.

Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess? Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your God; which of you have not barter'd your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?

Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defil'd this sacred place, and turn'd the Lord's temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices? Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; you were deputed here by the people to get grievances redress'd, are yourselves gone! So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors.

In the name of God, go!

Way out West
One of the promises of Brexit was lowering or even removing VAT on energy bills. Spain, still in the EU, lowered it just this week.
Labour introduced a bill to vote on it, but it was defeated 321 to 219 yesterday. 320 of those voting against were Tory MPs.
One Tory voted for it, and has had the whip removed today.

From 1st June 2016:

Boris Johnson and Michael Gove today claimed that the government would be able to scrap VAT on household energy bills if Britain leaves the EU. Having previously pledged to spend Britain’s annual EU contribution on "our priorities" like the NHS, Vote Leave campaigners today argued that leaving the EU will allow ministers to bin the "unfair and damaging" £2 billion a year tax on gas and electricity prices. Writing in the Sun, Mr Gove and Mr Johnson promised that "fuel bills will be lower for everyone".

It's so ridiculous it's almost comical - they campaigned to get out of the EU so they could reduce VAT on fuel (and help "working people"). Now the EU has decided to allow fuel to be zero-rated. BUT our wonderful rulers now decide that they don't want to reduce VAT on fuel after all. How anyone believed ANY Brexit-related promise is a mystery to me....

A tory MP had the whip withdrawn yesterday for having the temerity to vote FOR a reduction on Fuel VAT (as was promised as part of Brexit), after Johnson's Government whipped their MPs to vote against it.

Rebel Tory MP has whip removed for voting with Labour on energy bills

Anne Marie Morris will now sit in the Commons as an independent after she voted for Labour’s opposition day motion proposing a VAT cut on energy bills on Tuesday.

I appreciate that the rate at which the lies happen can be somewhat challenging, but do try to keep up

Possibly wasn't his fault directly and any self entitled job for life civil servants (yes I know MOST are fine) need clearing out too.

You'd have thought it would be the sensible seen it before Civil Service that would be stopping it happening, wouldn't you ?

Clearly not. So what the **** are they there for.

Same for the Met police. It seems NOBODY was out to stop this. Which means we have to ask why? Are / were they afraid of Johnson? Of Cummings? Of the Government in general? Was it being reported by low level people and covered up further up the chain? Plenty knew, and nobody spoke out. We need to find out why.

Johnson's financial backers have friends in very high places. There have been enormous amounts of money made by them over the last few years and the few 10's of billions on the illegal PPE fast track program, track and trace etc are only the tip of a very large iceberg.

Today,,,

Government's PPE 'VIP lane' unlawful, court rules

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-59968037

Labour's deputy leader Angela Rayner called for an independent investigation to "get to the bottom of how £3.5bn of taxpayers' cash were handed out in crony contracts and ensure it can never happen again"

What are the odds absolutely nothing will happen?

Meanwhile piles of PPE sit somewhere unused and never fit for purpose...

Brexit was never about the truth or the national good.

It was about not being told what to do by foreigners.

We may now have shit laws, but they are our shit laws. That's all that the noisiest Brexitters wanted.

Anyway, time to move on. Nothing to see here. We can now focus on the people who are now solely responsible for being in charge.

And roll on 2025, when we can vote the ****s out.

No, not all parties and definitely not all MP's (of all parties) are the same.

'They are all the same' is often used as an excuse by somebody who either doesn't have the time or inclination to investigate and understand what politicians or politics are about, has made a poor decision and doesn't want to admit they have made a poor decision, so makes out they were denied a decision. This Government is in power, and will be for the next 3 years, because people wanted Johnson's 5 year plan.

'They are all the same' is an excuse from people who won't take responsibility for what they have done

I'm sorry that you got all of that (and probably don't deserve it), but it does piss me off when people use this cop out

Forget the VAT the big money is being made out of our North Sea on the back of massive global gas prices, wholesale suppliers will cream off an extra £20B this winter. But some Tory think they are struggling, so we shouldn't impose a windfall tax.

Wonder if any of those objecting have links to fossil fuel industries? I wonder..

On the phone with a mate of mine tonight. He voted 'leave' and thinks Corbyn was a ****. He stunned me by saying he went on a protest recently to oppose laws that Priti Vacant is pushing through, apparently under the radar, to give police enormous powers to quell 'protests' and imprison people breaching new draconian laws about what protests can be held where. I'm no fan of a protest march, but this is apparently one of many examples of sneaky laws being slipped onto the statutes while the nation fulminates about how Johnson broke his own edicts, and Johnson sniggers his sincere apologies, to gasps and swoons of incredulity (and, sadly much admiration in parts) from the audience.

People.....we are being ****ed over by this shower, and they are getting away with it, still.

Guarantee this time next year they will still be millionaires, technically innocent of any crime and living the life of Reilly at our expense. Guarantee it. All this news will be chip wrapping.

Andrew news will have just helped Johnson no end

Unless there is more photos of other parties he’s not going anywhere
